  1. I like PWCC since its basically the Fulfilled by Amazon for graded cards and sealed product. I dont like having to deal with strangers trying to rip me off and my time is more valuable than trying to sell everything individually by myself. Ive sold cards mostly under 1k since with ebay fees, its just about the same pricing and I just have to mail all my cards to one person. Moving forward I just submit everything I have to them that is of any value since its just easy to deal with 1 person verses having a bunch of customers that can be liabilities since its so easy for people to scam online. Its hit or miss what cards can end at. Ive had some cards sell for less than market rate and some sell for more than market rate. I had some cards that I been sitting on for months (japanese stuff) that nobody would buy but I would end up with some good rates through auction. I try to submit only 1-2 copies and try to diversify what I have so im not competing with anyone. This has made me stay away from alot of newer cards since the market is flooded with stuff like Hidden Fates and SWSH/Sun & Moon stuff. I also try to not stack up on too many Charizard cards since while they are sought after, its very easy to end up competition with people even when you have a rare one like a 1st edition base one. I seen one 1st ed shadowless end at 200k while another ended at 250k. Weird but it is what it is I guess. Overall, Id do PWCC if you just want to turn your stuff over without any hassle and if you value your time very highly. Yes, it is possible that you might miss out on a little bit of money due to the nature of auctions, but I think the value of consignment is too hard to pass up on since as a business owner, I like delegating and freeing up my time. Also, it will take a month or two to get paid since when you submit to an auction, you get paid the following month of your auction. And some cards may not get paid on, so you may have to send them to another auction. They pay on a certain day of each month so its just something to keep in mind in case you need your money asap.
  2. It sells for so much because its the unofficial icon of Pokemon. The most iconic card of all time is the 4/102 unlimited Charizard since that was the one card everyone wanted as a kid and people will overpay for it. The higher the grade, the more valuable it will be since its easily the most recognizable card in all of Pokemon. If it ends up being a high grade, Id send it to PWCC auction house since it will get the most attention and get the most value possible. Another reason to send it to them is to avoid the headaches of trying to sell it to a random stranger. Its way too easy for people to steal your stuff over the internet with various loopholes on eBay or other platforms. Your best letting PWCC or some similar consignment/auction house take the headaches away from you and having them do all the packaging / customer support.
  3. Usually a business day or two. I just had my stuff finished up today and it said that yesterday. And for anyone who wants to know, I sent in a submission on 11/20 that got done today. Took around 30 something business days for a bulk submission. Not bad with the holidays going on. I figured that was what all the backup was from. Grades came back fine no complaints. Some people just really need patience since the market is so crazy and everyone and their mom is submitting cards.
  4. Same is happening to me. Its probably a glitch. Wouldnt really worry about it since all your data is with them.
  5. Yeah posts like these just tell me that you think the world revolves around you and that a business needs to bend over backwards just for you. Your not their only customer and they are not going to go under just because they did not service you the way you wanted. You alone are not the difference between a business's life and death. I'll let you have the last word un since you sound like the guy who needs to be on the moral high ground but the last thing I'll say is that you chose to be on these boards for 17 years. That isnt CGC's problem.
  6. You own multiple companies yet your on here spending your time ranting lol? Ya ok man I totally believe you. You totally have the free time to give free consulting and not ask for anything in return since your the ultimate business man. Im done arguing since this is just a complete waste of time. Your more interested in ranting and your just in your own world. Your not as important as you think and your probably a narcissist. Props to CGC for putting up with people like this. I appreciate their business and look forward to working with them. Hope they get rest from the holidays and things get soon since they are helping people make money and Im very appreciative of that.
  7. Not every customer is a good one though. In my business, I dont care if certain people dont come back. The headaches arent worth it and long term they are just going to be a pain in the butt to deal with. They are not the only people in the world with money. Thats why I keep pushing people to learn perspective. From CGC's point of view, are you really going to be listening to a few super vocal people who you dont even know? If the complaints were consistent, then that is one thing. If a few random people are complaining, then there is the door. CGC has something valuable in their quick turnaround times that are still light years faster than BGS and PSA. They have the leverage here. And again, holidays. Pandemic. Human beings. Any rational person can put 2 and 2 together and come to a conclusion on why things are the way they are.
  8. Yeah now your just making assumptions. The message board is just a way to get traffic to their website. They know what they are doing and dont think they are going to change how they do business based on what some random people on the internet think. And Id probably do the same. Like are you really going to change up what your doing based on what strangers online tell you? Especially people with no real clear authority. People just really need to chill out. If you dont like CGC then you can wait an eternity with PSA or BGS and ***** and complain about how awful they are too. Even 2 months isnt bad. My original post was mostly towards the guy freaking out and how they need to solve things asap or he will rage out on other message boards. Thats stepping out of line and being unreasonable.
  9. They arent asking for criticism though. There is nothing more obnoxious than unsolicited advice. As someone who runs a business, the last thing that I care about is someone telling me how to do stuff. Also, people are forgetting that they took 4 days off and will probably take off new years & new years eye. Thats 6 days of not working, which means they are temporary backed up. It would not shock me if they went back to 30 day turn around post holidays since they not only hired more people, but they will catch up from the backlog. Im just saying that people need to back off a bit and keep things in perspective. Like most of you are here since your resellers and these guys are helping you make more money. There is no need to be all doomsday when just by looking at the holiday calendar that they were going to have delays. Im not understanding why people need to be told this since its kind of common sense. 6 days of not working and people are shocked that they are delays, like really? Thats shocking lol? I sent in cards back in November but am not shocked they havent came back yet. CGC only works 5 days a week and most weeks have been 3 day work weeks. Like am I the only one who realizes this or am I the real crazy one?
  10. That is what they choose to do though. You as a customer agree to it. If you dont like it then you go elsewhere. Its not really up to the customer to tell a company how to run things.
  11. Im not really the one to defend companies too often but I think people are being a bit too harsh on BGS and need to be a bit more patience. I say this since they have been shut down for 2 holidays in a row and with the pandemic going on, these guys have been working their *** off and needed a break. Im totally ok if they take off New Years as well since their human beings. They arent robots that you send cards to and they just **** them out. Like I get that people have their money held up, but its cardboard. Its not life or death situation. Just think people should have some perspective.
