  1. Its off to my presser already. I did however tell him, if he opened it and thought it was too much of a risk to hold off and not touch it.
  2. Thanks everyone. I'm hopefully for a 3.5 but won't be disappointed with a 3.0.
  3. Thats about where I am as well. 3.0 but would be stoked for a 3.5-4.0
  4. I was sick to my stomach. It was in the bottom of a box that had been getting eaten by termites. I have no idea how it survived, and it was the only Spider-man in the entire box. I did pull some good keepers out as well. Im not one that can afford these types of books so it was a moment i'll never forget.
  5. oh I am 100 percent nervous as well. I just really think it would benefit from it. My presser doesnt think it will be much issue. This book is something id never imagine owning and just absolutely lucked into getting it in a huge box that I purchased for 100 dollars. So im trying to be as delicate as I can with this book.
  6. I think you are correct on a book 4.0 or lower. I have a 1st wasp that I had fabric tape placed to hold it. It is low grade but didnt label any restoration. edit: Id be interested in hearing others opinions as well.
  7. Im going to a really reputable presser here in Kansas City so im going to show him photos and hopefully it can be done well. Its not as fragile as it looks, I can easily flip through it but it wouldnt take much force to pop the bottom staple so im trying to be careful.
  8. Im going to get this pressed and cleaned before it gets sent off but wanted to get opinions on what people thing the grade might be. Its a fairly nice copy, the cover is attached (albeit very close to tearing) and the tear on the back. The chunk seems to be all there, it was folded up when I received it. I was thinking anywhere from a 3.0-4.0 but really not sure with this specific book.
  9. Thank you. I wasn't sure if I should keep it here because I was more curious about the tear. Is it possible for an admin to move it over or should I just delete and repost?

  11. I actually had an "ok" picture on my phone. Its right below the ad on the right side, looking again there's a bigger one in the ad as well. I'll get better ones tonight.
  12. Thanks, I thought it seemed pretty harsh, it presents better for sure
  13. Sorry gang, I will get a shot of the back tonight. Its a stain that is about the size of a dime or smaller.
  14. I submitted this book for the Perez signing that got cancelled. I did a ccs press and grade after that was cancelled and got this book back. Was kind of disappointed that CCS didnt get the sub crease all out. Im so confused by the "Heavy spine stress lines to cover" that are in the graders notes. I do see a few around the staples but from cgc's own video they said it wont harm a grade too bad once its past an 8. How did this ding it this badly or is it the foxing or stain that dinged it so bad. Personally I was hoping for a 6.0 but realistically thinking it could be a 5.0. A 4.0 white pages seemed harsh to me but again this is my first submission. Can anyone on here tell me what im missing on the heavy spine stress lines? Also it has a pretty decent newton ring, just the luck of the draw there?
