  1. I think of CL sales kinda like private sales where some maybe even most don't get reported. It's impossible to report every single comic book sale that exchange hands and also impossible to report them accurately.
  2. In today's current market, yes to the first question if the book is a 9.8. Makes sense since a 9.6 recently sold for $800k. Second question hell na!
  3. Well said, I'm definitely not ruling out anything at this time, anything can happen really. We're in a unique event right now in terms of comic book growth in all eras, something I don't remember seeing ever in the 15+ years I've been in this hobby. It's inevitable that at some point there will be a correction, but the exact date and how much % of a dip is unknown. I'm not expecting a crash of some sort also, although I wouldn't mind it either so I can add a lot more books into my collection . I'm actually hoping there will be one, but I highly doubt it. At current price levels, there are obviously some that I think are overpriced and some I feel are priced about right. Underpriced books I don't really see any. Even books I don't follow like duck books and western have all seen some decent gains.
  4. Agreed! For anyone that thinks comics will just continue to go up and up the way it has been the past few months will be in for a shocker. There is definitely a ceiling, nothing is open aired and sky high. It has happened first with Pokemon cards where values out of nowhere soared and then came crashing down a few months after. Then we saw that with sports cards (which I believe there are a lot more people dealing with them than comics) same thing happened. Now, I believe comics will suffer that same fate soon and then video games too. I have ownership of all these collectibles currently and definitely didn't get caught up at buying at the peaks for these. To sum up, once the music stops and chairs have been occupied, that lone person standing will be holding the bag, a very large one at that.
  5. The above is true. CL has definitely stepped it up a couple notches up in terms of realized sale prices for GA books. What once was a lagger because they were mainly considered to be the best auction house to consign SA and BA books, the recent results for GA books have been very strong. I'm very impressed.
  6. Not necessarily. I'm under 40 and I still value FF 1 and Hulk 1 on top of XM 1. My favorite will always be ASM in silver. XM 1 for me has never been high on my wantlist, it was more of a "I can get that book later" sort of thing.
  7. Yeah not a fan of signatures on silver and golden age keys unless in an interior page.
  8. Possibly. I'd like to see another sale of a XM 1 in 8.0 or higher to see if it can be sustained at that price level. I still think that the sale of that copy is an outlier.
  9. No 15% buyers premium for the above two
  10. I was lol. I needed to get something since I've been blown out of the water on my top 5 books I wanted
  11. My Promise win.. Really love the cover to this book :). I got smoked out on a few others I had my eye on. The big whales just devoured their food, luckily as a mere kelp floating around in the ocean, I managed to get away and snag this copy
  12. I think Hulk 1 and FF 1 should be 2a and 2b
  13. Because people would rather pay top dollar for MS #5, GSX #1, and of course Transformers #1
  14. Yeah that Tec 27 5.0 sure was an eye catcher. Looks like a 7.0 to tell you honestly.
  15. Looks like the uber long awaited Pedigree Book would be delayed once more since the Promise collection needs to be added I'm there too I assume. Yeah I agree the story about this Pedigree should be around the level of the Church and other prestigious pedigrees we've seen. Just the "gift grades" given to some of these book bug me. I'm sure a few should not be even the highest graded because of that, technically.
