  1. Best atomic era flamethrower cover imo (yep, I prefer it to War Comics 11):
  2. Finally grabbed a decent copy of War Fury 1 to go with my Horrific 3:
  3. I couldn't stand From Hell. One of the most ponderous comics I have ever read.
  4. Such good taste. I was going to say: Preacher, Like A Velvet Glove Cast in Iron, Y the Last Man, Blackhole, the 1st story arc of Goon, Bone and of course The Man by Vaughn Bode.
  5. Hmm front image scan appears not to be working. Lets try this:
  6. Spook 22 - Classic L.B Cole cover - people looking for this book will know it is one of the harder Star Comics books to locate. Price: Cole books are hot, this book is hard to find, recently a copy listed as a 2.5 sold on the bay for $299 very soon after it was listed, and a CGC 5.0 sold for $2500. With all that in mind I'm asking $550 for this copy. Payment methods: Paypal Shipping: free worldwide No probies or HoS inductees. I also reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone. First unconditional take it wins whether in thread or PM. Returns are accepted - return shipping will be at purchasers cost. Condition notes: Lays flat. Decent amount of gloss left. Note the tear on the top left hand corner of FC, does not go through book. Light reading crease. And some nicks/cuts on spine that go through the paper. A please grade my comic book consensus was around 3.5/4.0 (and we all know the PGM section is a tough crowd) Link here:
  7. They do note it: https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/criminals-on-the-run-v4-7-novelty-press-1949-cgc-nm-92-off-white-pages/a/7087-91167.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  8. Two of the very best of Cole. Especially that #2 with white pages
  9. Late GA early SA depending on where you draw the line. Has to be one of the most offensive covers of any age:
  10. Early 1950s. I want to say 1952 but haven't double checked.
  11. Stoked with these two. The Captain Steve was listed as a WWII cover but I think might be a Korean war cover. Anyone know for sure?
  12. Good purchase! Is the glue holding anything on? Or is it very substantial? Might be able to have it removed and still get your blue label.
  13. I agree with the age definition. But I like the term atomic age. I also don't think atomic necessarily refers to the atomic bomb. I think it refers to a general sense of optimism inspired by new breakthroughs in science especially physics.
