    That LOOKS like a spine tick but it's part of the cover art. If you check out 9.8 copies of the 1st or 2nd print online they all have that and it's 100% smooth to the touch. It's printed. But it bothers me every time I see it on this cover, it's terrible

    I asked y'all a few months back whether or not I should keep this in a poly and most of y'all said to rip the sucker. It took me a while to come around to the right conclusion but I eventually got there. Removed the poly today. Here's the book.

    I did have this book pressed and cleaned to ensure the 9.8 but I was pretty sure this had at least a shot at 9.6+. I bought a few hundred books from this seller and a solid hundred of them are NM+. I'll get around to posting some of the other annuals that came in this $40 lot later. Need to go through this guy's other Ebay listings sometime today

    If there is anything to this I think it might be along the lines of the eventual X-Men movie being titled "Rise of the Mutants" or something similar but they'll still be the X-Men. I think "Rise of the Mutants" has been the rumored working title for a while
