  1. From what I understand this cover is the Canadian version; however, I can't find much info on it. Also, this is a photocopy of the cover, right? It's a much thicker stock paper than the rest of the book, and there isn't anything printing on the inside of the front or back covers. I bought this in a small lot of golden age comics. Any info or clarification would be appreciated.
  2. It's a very nice copy; however, I see a printer scratches on the front cover (bottom left corner) and wondering how these defects can impact the grade. Thanks for your time.
  3. Lots of defects and issues on this comic. Main issues with cover are creases and 3 horizontal/vertical indentations that on the front cover. There is also a small rip on top of the cover. All of these are seen the photos. Back cover has similar wear with 3/4 very noticeable creases. Inside pages - the rip on top of the cover continues in all of the interior pages as indentations. Thanks!
  4. Same publisher as the one I posted. And looks much better than a 4.5.
  5. I was thinking the same. Something that old in such great shape can't be passed up on.
  6. By the way, on the CGC census there are 35 graded copies of the New Buffalo Weeklies. Most of them are low grade range but I saw one 9.4 and a couple 9.2s....there was a few that was restored. Anyway, thanks for all the info you shared on this. I'm going to hold on to it for now. Anything that's a century old is cool to have. Oh, and what's GA and SA?
  7. So there's actually a price guide for these books? I honestly had no clue about these nor it's prices. It's the first time i purchased something without knowing much about it. But i'm guessing since you have the background you probably knew what the right price is:)
  8. Hi Everyone, I was browsing ebay for auctions, and came across this comic. Buffalo Bill Weekly #32. Never heard of it. I couldn't find any info on it or even on the series. But with the publication date of 1913 and the nice grade I decided to go for it. Anyone have any info on this comic or series?
  9. I just purchased one and don't much about the comic. Looking for a place to ask about it.
  10. I would like to get an estimate on the grade as is, and if possible what I can get after a cleaning/press. Thanks!
  11. You're saying the zoomed pencil photo is more clear than the other photos, or the other way, around?
  12. Yes the back cover is visible on the front side. I look through a lot of other listings on ebay, and like you said it's somewhat common, although this copy is more pronounced.
  13. I have a nice looking New Mutants #98 here. Value wise only worth grading it if it hits a 9.6 and above. What do you guys think about the grade? I will have it pressed and cleaned before submitting it for grading; however, a press will not help with the tiny crease on the bottom left corner of the back cover (photo of that included.) It's really small. That's the only flaw that i see. Please let me know what grade and i would appreciate a detail on the reason. Thank you.
  14. Here's a nice copy of Amazing Spider-Man #30 1965. I would like to hear opinions on a grade, as I'm considering whether or not to send it in for grading. The comic sits flat, and the cover surface is smooth. Besides some of the defects on the cover, the top of the back page seems to have a bit of foxing, and there is what looks like the number 11 written in pencil on the inside title page (as pictured).
  15. Thank you for your reply. Not sure if i can tell if it feels "thick." Not even sure what that would mean. It does feel heavier than a modernish comic but i've never really had Golden era books i'm guessing older comics were larger and more pages maybe?!? Is this regarding the mold you mention? and is the whiteish speckly area that's the concern? I'm posting a new photos that is more accurate to the state of the page. I noticed the original photos were on the dark side and made the interior page look darker than it is. Also not sure what kind of tape it is. But i posted better photos with the tape.
  16. Thank you for your reply. There is a bit of discoloration, and darkening around the page; however, i realized that the original photos i posted are on the dark side making the edges, as you say, look darker than they are. I'm posting a couple new image that are more accurate to the state of the pages. But this is how it is on some of the pages in the book.
  17. Thank you for your thoughts on this. Yes, a lot of the interior pages at the top have a bit of discoloration; however, they are not as dark as it appears on the photographs. I was hoping to get more feedback on this comic but so far you are the only one that has replied:)
