With this issue I started officially collecting (putting comics in bags and boards and trying to read them carefully and store them.)
-Didn’t succeed, in preserving them in high grades 🤣🤣🤣 mostly good to VG condition for another 4+ years… but at least I started trying 👍great book @ADAMANTIUM

Good call there. What on-screen portrayal of the Punisher is your favorite? Looks wise, I thought Ray Stevenson was the best.
Honestly like them all, and Ray Stevenson definitely had the look!
I have to go with Dolph Lundgren though, you never forget your first 😆— I was so excited that they were making that movie and seemed like forever before I had the VHS copy in hand. Love that movie!! 💀

It's probably in this thread somewhere but it would take too long to find.
I just finished reading the Punisher Circle of Blood trade, the first four issues of which were scripted by Steven Grant, and the final issue by Jo Duffy. Does anyone know why Grant bailed before the final issue?
So the story I’ve heard was that The Punisher Limited (1986) Mini series was originally supposed to be 4 issues book ended by bigger issues as the #1 (and then #4) but sales were stronger than expected for issue 1, so Marvel extended the series to 5 issues after seeing the sales. 💰
…So Grant and Zeck were only contacted to do 4 issues of content, and had other titles deadlines to meet, therefore Vosburg, and Jo Duffy we’re called in by Marvel to help out (Grant and Zeck) fill in the excess material to fill a 5th issue scripted by Grant.
again just what I’ve heard. @Ryan. 💀

Was unaware Elman did any for War Journal though - thanks for that!
I also really liked Frank Teran -gritty artwork for the Punisher, when I look at his work now I see a slight resemblance to the Jon Bernthal portrayal of the character.

There’s a possibility that if you add all items to cart, eBay may automatically combine the shipping of all the items from the same seller. I’ve done this with sports cards and the discount shows before any payment is made. If not, I’ve sent a screenshot of the invoice to the seller to show them the error and they’ve always refunded me the difference. I think most sellers with substantial feedback will do the right thing to maintain their reputation
Does not work for all sellers unfortunately.

This happens to me a lot. The seller lists ‘combined shipping’ then never responds to messages.
I bid more on follow up items knowing I can combine, then they jerk the rug out. If they pocket the money without follow up refund, I leave positive but crack them hard on the shipping stars.
Yeah sucks paying $4 extra shipping each on a $5-$10 comic especially when only adding on extra books to compensate for shipping when expecting combined as stated. Spend $45 on comics + $25 shipping + taxes on both. 😜 around $76+ 🤦♂️

If you can get a seller to respond. I’m going through this situation now, in descriptions the seller states combined shipping. Contacted the seller about combined shipping, no response.committed to Purchasing the items (as items ending) with request total from seller with combined shipping. No responses still, even asked a couple more times in messages for an invoice ( I hate having outstanding commitments) nothing from seller, just messages from eBay stating I need to pay soon. Sucks as shipping and taxes will be over to 1/3 of the total cost of the 5 raw items I have committed to purchase 😒

Picked up @Parabellum leftovers on eBay that I still needed for my graded collection. 😆
I need to send in my submissions soon, always doubting/removing them 🙃

Yeah this is a tough one. You might have missed the earlier post but it is Bronze age, there's 4 books on the census at 9.8, 9.6,9.6, and 8.0 that's it. I'm considering that 8. There are no raws that are 8.0 or higher from what I can tell. One is sorta close but I'm not gonna take that risk. SO this situation got me thinking if there's was a percentage difference rule of thumb to go by if there are zero comparable sales. For example would an 8.0 be worth 50% of what a 9.6 is or less...if there are no sales to go by. I wasn't really asking for what a specific book was. I just mentioned mine as an example and apparently have confused everyone. I've run into this situation before and I always wondered. From what I've gathered from all the responses...there is none.
A decision you think it’s worth to you as a collector, what are you willing to obtain it..can you find a raw copy at convention easily, LCS raw that looks good, graded copy isn’t everything out there. Know the details, and know what you want. Best of wishes, but the decision is yours..

Value to me is what you are willing to pay to obtain the item. Personally I collect, don’t sell. I have my graded collection, and raw. choose my own value as what the graded item is worth to add to my black hole.
A modern 8.0 I’d probably stay away from in high dollar, as can find raw copies in grade or better. Don’t know what you’re planning on purchasing so.. Just my

I'll go with The Punisher Limited series (Circle of Blood story from 1986), although the first comic I ever purchased off a spinner rack was ASM #129, I never really cared about the character until the limited series was released, upon this I was hooked, and suspect many others were as well. This series begged for more appearances from this character...and we as fans got them.
Great story, along with Classic covers to boot from Zeck...

I like it as well, granted not The Frank I grew up with, also don’t like the retro Frank a killer since childhood 🤔
However I’m enjoying the read, seeing it bashed on Punisher groups on Facebook. Waiting until the story is completed to make my judgement.
I just wondered if I was the only one that thought this was a fascinating read. 👍

Comic purchased not in CGC registry
in CGC Registry

@wytshus
Hello, I recently purchased a CGC 9.8 graded copy of Punisher #62 (1987 series) from My Comic Shop. It looks Fantastic.
However when I tried to enter this issue into my set. I received this message.
So then I checked on the CGC registration, and no comic exists for the registry number 🤷♂️
The comic looks and CGC casing look legit, any help with finding out what’s going on with the registry number for this book would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.. 🙂
