Ahhh don’t doubt it, that’s where the hunt, and excitement is. Check at flea markets, garage sales,estate sales, even at thrift stores for these books. Keep your eyes open, years ago I picked up a werewolf by night #32 (among many other minor keys) at a flea market for 50 cents a piece. Btw - I’m a fan of the first Carnage trilogy also (ASM 361-363) , but I had purchased these when they came out (along with many, many, many other members I’m sure. ) ... Add me in the club.

Watched electric company in the morning ( featuring spider man ) my Father then told me about comics, and said if I helped with the lawn work he would give me 50 cents. (Enough for the comic and a candy bar. ) It was a special moment- taught me to work for what I wanted, and also closer Bond with my father as we went to the corner store so I could make my own first purchase.. this comic book, tootsie roll, and a pack of baseball cards.

@Hollywood1892 And just to expand a little on what @Dave2739 has posted, you’re bragging on books many members here on the boards have owned since they picked them up of the newsstand example here is the first book I ever purchased as a kid, yes I still own it. (Plus a couple more) Well, thats no big deal here either..There are many much wiser members on this board than myself with way deeper knowledge, passion and collections than I could ever dream of having. Relax a bit, and enjoy the knowledge of these members, instead of bragging about what common issues you own, and let the members come to appreciate your collection on their own terms Best of luck, and congratulations on your pick ups (Post them in the “This week in your collection” thread) we’d be happy to see them there

We all had a knowledge that this announcement was eventually coming... ( however hoped for 1 more go around.) Now let’s hope that that this series gets picked up, and keeps going elsewhere. Or even better yet Jon Bernthal gets to use his talents to appear as The Punisher on the Big Screen. 🤞 With every closed door, a new one opens.

Yes, both have been around since WW2, and we know Cap had a Super-Soldier injection to become who he is, also slowed aging maybe, along with being frozen for awhile. Nick Fury also received an injection of “Infinity Formula” in a less known tale from Marvel Spotlight #31, and even if that story were nonexistent He is high up in command nowadays. Not involved hands on in the missions so much as the direction. From Marvel Spotlight 31 Frank has been hands on at ground zero for many years, and stories now, always taking bodily harm which resulted in the Purgatory, and the Frankencastle storylines (to name a couple...) in attempts to keep his youth. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yes, I believe that you’re right! Unfortunately this time (date) stamp, has been the ultimate downfall of the character in terms of aging. Which has resulted in the many attempts to revitalize or reimagine The Punisher.

That’s disappointing, and not looking good for my purchase. I’m over 6 months into this paid purchase, so no disputes available now. Very disappointed in their excuse of CGC taking long to grade these, I let it ride, for now -Seeing the same “Exclusive Unknown Comics Trade Dress Variant” Graded 9.8 by CGC show up on eBay over 2 1/2 months ago while still waiting for mine with “be patient we’re dealing with slow CGC process” reply. Does not make me feel comfortable dealing with them. Especially knowing the CGC process, and the turnaround times.

Along with the 1st Origin of The Punisher, this issue also contains the 1st appearance of Dominic Fortune. So If that character ever becomes something, An added bonus. 👍

Most likely, thanks. Yes, @James J Johnson a couple of books are still for sale and I believe that wha @GACollectibles said has to be the reason. There are others also that still say sale pending that I’ve owned for years, that weren’t purchased on comiclink. I just wonder how many books listed on their site actually aren’t for sale at all, also very confused on how long books can hang around with sale pending along with the waitlist option button. Thanks everyone for the responses.

Not sure why they are up there, and still for sale? One book I have owned for over a month now, purchased on eBay. The others ( at least 3) I’ve owned for almost 2 years, also purchased through eBay. Does anyone know a way to get to to get these books off the site? I didn’t list them, but They definitely are no longer available there. Thanks for any help.

Just wanted to update, received a response on January 28th ( through Facebook messenger) basically saying CGC has the books, and they take a long time time to grade. They only give estimates on date, no guarantee... so I’m still waiting for the Parrillo trade variant CGC 9.8, and the rest of my order ( Released raws no later than 9/26/18) , so on CGC graded book.. I have seen others graded at 9.8 on eBay for over 2 months now ( for less than I’ve paid) aIso I have purchased a Virgin exclusive of this cover on eBay for less than paid for the trade dress version. —So my question is when you pay more for preorder, should you receive them before they show up elsewhere for less? I believe so, anyway I’m just hoping this order comes through soon, but I’m not sure that I will deal with this company again.
