Some more that come to mind as well. Those Batmans are definitely legit. The last GL series before the New 52 had some winners as well.
GL #36 2nd print sketch-tanking right now kinda, but used to sell way better than 1st
" #37 2nd print sketch-same
might be the time to hoard these maybe???

I'm banking on the 5th printing being good down the road. Not many stores are picking them up I don't think-or just not many. After the series starts maturing, and the completists start trying to get all the printings, they will be looking hard to get 5th printings in HG due to them being reader copies for the most part. Some later printing kill the first print down the road. For instance:
Hulk #377 3rd print
MP #1 2nd print-sells for more than the 1st
Wolverine: Origins #28 2nd print-try finding one. When they appear on ebay I've seen them sell for 5-10x cover in the past.

#282 definitely had a huge print run. People who don't even collect comics have a copy of that book. I would say the newsstand version or even the 2nd print is a better bet just based on scarcity IMO.

I don't see The Strain comic going crazy if the novel is adapted into a movie, because the comic is an adaptation too, not the source material. Stranger things have happened, but it just doesn't seem like something that should carry a huge premium to me.
TV show on FX, not a movie. We'll see. I have the first two HC novels 1st/1st but in my experience, novels don't spike too much either after a movie is announced unless they were way obscure when released. This book was probably printed heavily due to Del Toro being a co-author.

Could be interesting with Carlton Cuse and Del Toro involved who both have other comic / manga adaptations on the boil. Not read The Strain yet... any thoughts? Will be checking it out later but it looks like FX has jumped in on this one.
First novel was awesome, second novel started getting slow for me so I never finished. The comic adapt. was ok so I dropped it after issue 2 I think. Is this blowing up on ebay now???

How's about this book??
What If?: Planet Hulk-1st Skaar- Not much going on with him now but I can see some great writer getting ahold of him and blowing him up. Or an appearance in a movie??

You sure are. I am qurious as to seeing the 9.8 when you get it back. I have 2 really nice copies, but with the printing defects that Marvel books had then I'm always weary to send them off to CGC. Marvel books from then always had those weird spine wrinkles and such.

Cool thread. I'll have to take some pictures this weekend. Here is one pic I could track down of a few of my games...
What are thos plastic cases housing your NES games, and where do i get some???

I would pick up Rachel Rising at cover. Don't want to miss your chance at the next hot thing. Not saying it will reach SG or PP status but a forty dollar investment that could easily double.
Sounds good. I would like to read them anyway. The majority people here seem to like it.
Read 1-12 within the past week.
Simply awesome!
I was able to get 1-15 raw and am definitely in for the ride.
Also bought Echo and think I'm going to read that next.
You will love Echo too. Theres a new book waiting to be discovered around every corner these days. Its a great time to be a reader!
It truly is and RR is awesome. I have yet to read the second trade. Will be looking to finish filling in the gaps on my floppies sometime as well.

I just read 1 and 2. I'm not going to say I didn't enjoy it, but I'm kind of lost due tot he back and forth nature of the story. The little kid horsemen and the white adult horsemen storyline has me a little lost as I said. I guess I'll wait and see in a couple of issues if they flesh it out a bit better for me.

Me too. If anyone pees on the toilet and doesn't clean it up, they get the Sarlaac treatment!!!

a week ago 1-14 runs were selling at BIN for $49 free shipping.

Love Rachel Rising. I just wish I had kept up on buying the series after #3. I was out of buying for awhile, and didn't play catch up on the back issues. I only have a duplicate of #1. I read the first tpb and I thought it was awesome.

Rick went out of his way to pay with Paypal through another boardie, which made my life easier. Thanks for the smooth transaction.

I know it's been mentioned before, but one day I would love to find a Hulk 377 3rd print in the wild. I've actually never seen one in person.

Where is this guy anyway, has he figured it out yet??? I think he abandoned thread, head hung low, tail between legs.

I wish I could say it was me!

Nice DHCP #56 CGC 10. Not really relevant for this thread, but interesting to say the least.

^All I know is it's a good SW comic....

I know this has no bearing on the Modern's on Ebay market but I can't believe DC editors let this one go!
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why

My bad it was #0

Uber #1 is listing at $15-$20 BIN already with not a one for less than $9.99 start price auction. I bought one each of the Propaganda covers, and one of the wraps-the last two on the shelf. I passed on The Last of Us due to funds.

Now that's interesting.
Good for you posting something that actually matters to this thread.

Hmmm, wasn't aware of those. I think I'm gonna start a thread just for the collecting of 2nd and later prints. Since we are killing this NWM thread
