Curious to see how the better interior white packaging looks. Can I see a picture?

TOPPS cards, square cut cards, the list goes on with pokemon really...
ooh! Pokemon Booster Packs are a big one too

I've heard CGC is starting to grade Video Games, which is slightly disappointing since we still could benefit from Pokemon Jumbo Cards (25th Anniversary) and Yugioh Cards

Those "select few" the minor amount of people who only pay to get expensive cards graded to flip which won't last forever. A majority of people who invest into businesses don't like lies/deception. Has nothing to do with emotion. It just has to do if I was told repeatedly at Target or Walmart that it was gonna be 30 days estimated 55 65 75 77 81 111 and it kept going up I'd never shop with them again. It is business 101.
Whenever the turnaround times increase I just automatically consider my order grandfathered into the new turnarounds. The way I see it, would you want a grader to take the proper time to give you the most accurate grade/market value? or do you just want it rushed w/ mistakes?
I am just as concerned about the turnaround times as you are and asked about the workforce increase/adding of physical space and got this response from the community "The processes involved in grading aren't easily scalable. If it were, there would be new entrants into the marketplace doing it better/faster. All the grading companies are watching mail trucks dump millions of cards in their warehouse, knowing there's just no way they can get to it quick enough."
Also, keep in mind Target and Walmart can't even keep up with the demand for Pokemon Product. (empty shelves 24/7 at least for me)

yea CGC has had a lot of requests to grade a whole bunch of different collectibles.
I think they can handle it, but they'll need time to get card registries in order, manufacture (or outsource) the different kinds of slabs, increase workforce (and build the appropriate buildings). It's an entire process but I believe they can one day pull it off. -

Each time my cards keep coming up to their turnaround estimate the estimate goes up a ton. It was originally 20-30 days when I submitted and now what 111 and keeps increasing. You need to fix the priority system because at the rate of increase we would never get our cards back.
Whenever the turnaround times increase I just automatically consider my order grandfathered into the new turnarounds. Also, I've heard a new CGC Building is under construction. Can anyone confirm is this a receiving/shipping department? grading department? either way that's good news in my book

send me more pictures (different angles) and i'll give an assessment

I'm learning to Grade so Sub Grades matter a lot to me.
I do like that Sub Grades encourages a grader to really justify the grade. As opposed to just giving an easy non-sub grade
Also, as a collector, I love how the subgrades look on the label

Learning so one day I can work for CGC But I could use the community's help!
High Res Scans/Sub Grades (especially Heavily Played) would be helpful
(serial numbers will also be acceptable)
This is NOT a "Grade my Raw Card" Thread (Once i'm an expert I can help via CGC Forums)
Any help would be appreciated!

Mine has never showed up in submission status and I am starting to freak out. its been so long since they received it and they definitely received it. What happens if I forgot to put my order form in the box or failed to secure it correctly. I am starting to lose sleep now. Wow this is driving me crazy!
They have a card database in preparation for missing forms. Same happened to me and it was all good =]
The wait between "Received" status and "Grading" is perfectly normal too. -
"CGC being a force to be reckoned with" I like that haha
-
Think of it this way, CGC slabs are increasing in value so much that CGC is getting even more people into the hobby!
hence more customers.
I gotta say I absolutely love the consistent grading CGC has. It's very accurate, just in my opinion.
And if the slightly longer turnaround time (but not too much) allows the graders enough time
to give us the proper grade a card needs, then i'm all for it.
btw is CGC increasing their workforce? -
the PSA Team Bags will fit CGC Slabs? Good to know! also hint hint to CGC we would definitely buy
CGC branded Team bags and Storage cases for our slabs -
I'll 2nd what Paul said Card Savers + Penny sleeves all the way
And as someone that's used toploaders for 10ish years I can say it wrecked havoc on my corners/edges.
Have fun with your 1st submission tho! It's gonna be one hell of an experience haha -
I, too would like to know what's their protocol for this. Cuz CGC does have their database.
I do know when there's a mistake like that it can cause a bit of a delay. -
-
card saver 1's and the semi rigid holders from cgc will keep the cards from slipping out. Top loaders aren't really the best for keeping cards in good condition, especially when being shipped out
-
Love the new changes! If sub grades increase the turnaround time by 5 days,
could we have the ability to combine sub grades + non sub grades in one return shipment/One Shipping Cost.
I wouldn't mind a longer wait timeWhat do you all think?

If I seal each toploader in a team bag, will this be acceptable?
been using toploaders for years and I can say without a doubt they are horrible at protecting cards. specifically the edges
they turn CGC 10's to CGC 8's in my opinionGood protection for cards require the edges to have a lot of room
hence why penny sleeves + card savers are amazing at keeping a card in pristine condition -
that's normal, in my experienced, there always are a few days between (the package being signed in) and getting a (received status) in the CGC Submission Tracking.
I've even forgotten to add a packing slip once and CGC was able to handle it. I have a lot of confidence your stuff is in good care. -
Very glad to here this! I would pay a premium fee for Pokemon logos on the label or even a different color of label.
-
I thought I had inserted 2 packing slips in my package (pokemon cards) but turns out I didn't, and it's already on it's way to cgc
I emailed customer service with my order confirmation number, pdf of packing slip, usps tracking#
just waiting on their responseIs there anything else I can do?
What's the protocol for when a package does not have a packing slip?
When will CGC possibly expand the non sports card sets that they accept for grading?

i think it's smart for cgc to hold off (for the moment) on other tcg brands. since, turnaround times might drastically increase for ALL submissions. I'm kinda content with their 5 month turnaround time and would not want that increased. what do you all think?
