  1. Thanks I sent out an email hope the pictures help.
  2. I have made 7 submissions recently and the only time I have ever had two copies is if my printer messes up and I need to make another
  3. I believe it is an ultrasonic weld like you may see elsewhere. I remember seeing a post mentioning something about their welds.
  4. Most likely. Currently based on user reports they are starting to process through anything received (bulk, economy) from about November 20th.
  5. Keep these updates coming everyone its exciting to see where my submissions may be in line in relation to everyone else
  6. I got a card back that hit very high on all points besides surface. It got dinged fairly hard on its grade at a 6.5 surface. I cannot for the life of me, maybe I am blind IDK, see any imperfections on the card and I currently just do not agree with this grade. I think it might be due to the texture of the card perhaps that flaws were either thought to be there or is causing me not to see them, but I digress. While I see we can send in PSA and Beckett slabs and set minimum grades and what not I am not sure if this is possible with a CGC slab? I would love to send this in again and have another go at it but I really would not like to have it cracked if it ends up getting a worse grade somehow. Is this doable with the current submission form online? If not is it doable at all? And I guess on a side note is it at all possible to get grader notes about the grade? Because if there is indeed a surface flaw I would love to hear what the grader has to say so I know I am not crazy
  7. Sadly I think the first mistake is trying to secure a specific date when it gets back to you. Even if turnaround was not impacted by volumes and what not you still need to rely on the delivery service as well to be prompt. The turnaround times have changed recently so it is likely they did change WK after your submission however I am not sure exactly if that would impact you if it was already mark received at the time of changing. My last two WK were right on the nose for turnaround although I did not select any sort of overnight options for shipping. There could also be a delay from when they are finalized and when they are shipped. Perhaps all overnight shipments need to go out by a specific time each day to be guaranteed back to you. Also sadly CGC will be off tomorrow for the holidays so that will not be counted as a business day. Id expect to see the cards Tuesday or Wednesday at this point.
  8. This is one thing I am not very sure on as I see some in the same boat as you although for the 6 submissions I have made in the recent months I have never had an over 2 day waiting period to be received. I have submitted under just about every tier besides standard. I think it took exactly 2 business days for each submission to be received. Some were even split sub grade and non sub grade. If I had to guess yours should be received very soon. Just keep in mind though once it is delivered it is safe with CGC as their PO box goes straight to their building and not a post office.
  9. Yeah exactly like that. They might not be working on cases now due to known delays. Which I guess makes some sense as more often than not it is just delayed and not being scanned properly rather than lost in transit.
  10. It had no scans and was in preshipment for 12 days. Once it finally scanned near its destination it was then delivered the next day. I see no reason you would not be able to fill that form out.
  11. For this item that i made the case for I created the label on the 29th, was picked up by usps on the 30th, and then I created the case on the 9th. 2 days later it got a processing scan at the destinations regional facility then delivered the next day. Then they called me like 2 days later acting like they had no idea what was going on so not even sure the case really did anything.
  12. I believe this is the exact page I started on and you can click where is my package to get started: https://usps.force.com/emailus/s/ I got a call a few days after it was delivered and the person from that local area was under the impression though that I was supposed to receive the package and she acted like she almost did not know it was already delivered until I told her. Not sure if my filling of that form really did anything but its worth a shot. A case should be created and you should get a confirmation email and someone should reach out about it.
  13. Oh boy here is where you are mistaken. USPS can and will forget to scan packages especially right now haha. I live near the Indianapolis regional facility and this place specifically is inundated with so many covid cases and volume increases I have had migraines for the past two weeks. Have had late shipments marked on my eBay purely due to no scans happening even when I know the packages have already been delivered. In some cases it took 3-4 days from my local post office pickup to finally get some sort of origin scan at the regional facility. Things seem to be a bit better this week but I would not worry too much unless you have not seen any scan whatsoever for more than a week I would say. USPS is good about claims as well. I finally ended up starting a retrieval claim for one package I sent out and magically 2 days later it showed a delivery scan. So that may help as well. Best of luck I know USPS is a pain right now but it should turn up eventually. EDIT: For my recent submissions cause the whole Indianapolis area delays thing was really noticed when I sent in my first submissions, I had to wait for the first one from Monday the 30th and was not delivered until the 10th. CGC though once they have gotten my shipments have them received within a day each time which is great! All the delays in shipment have been USPS related and not ingest related from what I can see at CGC.
  14. One thing I have noticed with the payments is while they wont charge the submissions till it is in the process of grading they will lump anything that is still received in with the next payment which is kind of odd. I know I wont be seeing some of my economy shipments for a solid month but they have already been charged to me while still in received due to some of my walkthroughs that were sent in after being graded. It might help save them on processing fees or something of that nature but I wish that the payments were split into a single invoice for a single submission once the grading starts. I think that makes the most sense for customer satisfaction and record keeping as well.
  15. I am considered a self employed contractor as well as I run a few small businesses so I am always looking to reap whatever I can write off wise. I am by no means a "card seller" however some of my recent grading submissions I made are fully intended to be sold as I do not want to place them in my collection. Would grading fees be something I should consider writing off? Does anyone else that may deal more specifically in cards and grading possibly for a living do this? I can see it as a viable business expenses but am curious what others think.
  16. My Split subgrade/non subgrade single economy shipment was delivered yesterday and each section of that shipment has been marked received today so it might be going a bit faster.
  17. Sub 1: Economy/ no sub-grades/ 7 cards Received: 12/11/20 Status: Received Sub 2: Economy/sub-grades/ 5 cards Received: 12/11/20 Status: Received Sub 3: Walkthrough/sub-grades/ 3 cards Received: 12/14/20 Status: Shipped Shipped: 12/16/20 Sub 4: Walkthrough/sub-grades/ 1 card Received: 12/15/20 Status: Shipped Shipped: 12/17/20 Sub 5: Economy/sub-grades/ 21 card Received: 12/15/20 Status: Received
  18. Its odd how much that makes sense that they are cut open but I never really thought of that. Just thought all graders were Expert card puller outers
  19. It is no secret that other competitors hold a lot more of the market share when it comes to sales, the reason I will be and am using CGC is for turnaround times and I prefer their cases for my collection. One good thing to keep in mind is EVERYONE and their mothers are sending cards to PSA and BGS right now and turnaround times have been impacted heavily. In 4-8 Months the market is going to be flooded. It may be worth getting a Walkthrough service with CGC to beat this influx of graded cards on the market. If you are unhappy with the grade, having issues selling, or think you can get a better grade with PSA since it is no doubt an easier grade to achieve, then you can always send it to get graded again elsewhere. The Charizard may be worth sending in to PSA for one of their "premium" services if turnarounds are not too impacted there but I have never used that. You would need to keep in mind you would be paying a solid $3k to $5k just to get that single card graded due to its value, not including shipping or insurance. At CGC you might be looking at $150 total, something around there, have never had to insure a package that valuable so it might be more but I would expect way less than even just the base grading price from PSA.
  20. I assume it may be a shorter receiving period for Walkthroughs?
  21. My dad started collecting these, along with playing cards, back in the 80s-90s we have sold off a majority of the playing card decks he collected but never sold most of these Marvel Comics cards. Would be really cool to go through them and get some high quality ones graded. Have multiple complete sets maybe could get an entire single set grade
