Does CGC Signature Series books lower the value of a book?
John Worley replied to John Worley's topic in Comics General
Actually that is a very good point. Since it wouldn't leave of collection and is directly for me....again really good point of view -

Thanks! Comic Description: Superman 75 1/93 D.C. Comics Poly-Bagged Platinum Edition Category: Modern Grade: 9.8 WHITE Comments: Manufactured with ""6018"" printed on back cover. I knew it was a great copy but you never know with grading so I am very happy. Opened the bag and kept the bag too. Both are in my PC memory books

Does CGC Signature Series books lower the value of a book?

I am wanting a Firestorm remarque in the fire of his head on the cover of Firestorm 3 (1ST KILLER FROST) one of my favorite comics and just for my collection -
A remarque is just a little sketch of a requested character. As far as I have seen just a head shot
-
My last 2 books from this order went to "Grading/Quality Control" today (7/29) Yay!

I am thinking of getting a Firestorm remarque by Al Milgrom. Has anyone gotten one they can share by him or even other characters? Thanks, John

Fantastic Four label being covered by CGC Logo?
John Worley replied to Funko Doom's topic in Ask CGC
Hi Jennifer, was the team able to adjust the fantastic four label to show "the thing"? I am holding back sending in a submission to see if the label was able to be fixed. Thank you -
I absolutely love the Ringling Contest label! The landscape of the label is green and matches up with the comic book colors beautifully! Who doesn't love this Spidey cover?!?

No sadly slow...kinda weird...the same box had 3 books with special labels that arrived here today -
Hi, Could you please look at submission #3840221? I am wondering if something is wrong with it being stuck in the system. It has been in "Grading, Encapsulation, Imagining" for awhile now. Is this normal? Thank you for your help. John Worley

Have You Ever Bought Anything From A Comic Book Ad?
John Worley replied to marvelmaniac's topic in Comics General
I raised Sea-Monkeys for 30 yrs on and off starting when I was around 7. Sent for all the special food/toys ect. I too was angry when I 1st got them. Not the iconic family promised. True story, I became friends with the CEO whom in my 40's gifted me with many different sea-monkey sets. I handed them out to kids from time to time. If you do them right to me they are beautiful creatures. They can get around an inch long and their bodies remind me of a boat with many fluttering oars....and they do have little antennas. They also have baby's which is cool. The 1st time they arrived in the mail I was indeed passed for false advertising. Same with the ghost and 7 foot monster. My Freddy the Flute was awesome from a cereal ad and did anybody else do these? I loved these. The Batman one was better all the way around. Better art, story, and production values. The X-men cover and posters were awesome though and the letter from Stan Lee and trading card was fun. Rainblo gum ad for Batman and an ad in marvel comics for the X-men one. -

I did when the turn around was like 25-30 working days. Worked great. 1st one I got back out of eight books.

I don't have anxiety anymore because any book I grade are just for my memories and to keep. At 58 I have few books I wish to own...just some of my favorites. I have owned, held, and read all the good and classic books. The world is my library...I do love to discover my grades though for fun

I honestly thought the same thing too...I was like...where are the clowns??? Then I saw this beautiful label from an art school contestant and used it for Marvel Spotlight vol 2 #6. All the contestants had nice labels. I want to do Marvel Spotlight vol 2 #7 too which would be stunning together. I hope they don't remove it anytime soon.
