  1. #62 is another pre-hero book that has been eluding me in decent condition. I haven't see a decent looking copy for some time at Wizard or C2E2. I love that cover with the Hulk prototype on it.
  2. I always wondered why #89 commanded such a high price. First Fing-Fang-Foom, or was it the last Fing-Fang- Foom also? A great cover and story regardless.
  3. It would be tough for me to make a list. Any book with a Kirby monster coming out of the cover is game. I love them all.
  4. http://www.uline.com/index.aspx?pricode=WE412&gclid=CJf76uqwwrACFSWFQAodsEgOpA I use the S - 342 for up to 12 books. For larger orders the S - 4423 and the S - 558 - Multi Depth's
  5. The buyer was perfectly within his rights to bring this to the attention of the forum. He was not satisfied with your solution. He did not want to keep it private because you two could obviously not agree. I'm a little confused about your definition of "good faith" and the double negative that follows, however I do understand that you are upset. I hope perhaps you think about this a little more and revise your thoughts about a refund policy.. Dr Chaos, I honestly think you're nuts. I I want to buy from a seller who can't grade, blames the buyer and refuses to consider logical possibilities like shipping damage, doesn't want the dispute revealed to the community and has no return policy......you're my man. Your reputation all over a $20 deal. Is that what your think? I never said that I would not take returns. However, I did state that I am not sure that I can trust this buyer to take a return from him at this point. Whether it was construed differently I made another statement that I never had made any previous claims in my ads about returns (pro or con). When I first heard the buyer's complaint I asked him how I could make things right and it was he who said that he did not want to return the books. He prefered to receive a partial refund instead (and to complain at great length). Given that I tried to work with the guy, spent some time hearing him out, and made a partial refund, I was disappointed that he came here to whine about it. I also felt that under the circumstances that further compensation may not have been warranted. In my initial response to the buyer one of the first questions I asked him was if he thought the book could have been damaged during shipping. So yes, the thought had crossed my mind. During my discussions with the buyer, I grew to mistrust him with each post. Despite this I continued to communicate with him and attempted to come to an amicable resolution without making any accusations prior to his comments on this thread without any warning from him. Although he promised (and did not deliver) additional scans, the flaws in the scans that you see in this thread do not include most of the flaws that he reported to me. Aside from both books sharing a bad and board (which really should do nothing to subject them to harm) there was nothing wrong with the way they were packed. I used thick cardboard to make a sandwich around them and bubble wrap to protect the sandwich with foam to fill in the empty spaces in the box. Yet, the buyer claimed that I only used cardboard and newspaper (and recanted this account when confronted by someone else). He has still not explained what specifically went wrong during the shipment or with the packing that may have caused the books to be subjected to harm. None of you has accepted my offer to see the full PM exchange for yourselves yet many of you are eager to accept his story at face value. The details he has provided are sparce. If the books were damaged during shipping it would be nice to know what he observed when he opened the box (or if the box itself was damaged by the USPS in transit). When I first heard his initial complaint I was eager to help him and was beating myself up over mistakes I might have made. After reading through his rambling and sometimes off topic tirades during the PM exchange I had serious doubts about what his motives might have been from the beginning. In short I felt that I was being manipulated and lost patience with the buyer. Despite this I felt that I should give him something because of the ridiculous 9.8 exchange and followed through with that. For this I get burned at the stake. Dr. Chaos, I don't think you realize how you are coming across. This area of the board, whether you find it entertaining or not, does try to mediate between two people with different viewpoints, some of us, even did or do that kind of stuff for a living. I asked you quite a while ago, if you would consider a compromise. You might want to rethink your response, or in the alternative, come up with what you think is a better compromise instead of insisting that you are right. I'm not going to start a poll, because I think you will find the results even more upsetting, but obviously, the majority of the posters here, do not see your point of view. . It's very difficult to grade an extremely high grade book from a scan, several people have told you that. In addition, the pictures that you provided are not even scans, they are digital photos. There is room for error in those photos. Most cardboard is somewhat flexible. When you pack comics, unless they are very inexpensive or low grade books, it usually gives at least the appearance that the seller is taking more care if each item is individually wrapped in a bag and board, they are not terribly expensive. It doesn't really matter if you missed a few tiny, tiny flaws, or they were damaged in the mail or if when you put two high grade books in one bag and board, things happen. No one has said you did something deliberately, but none of us are perfect, stuff happens.. The buyer told you he was not happy, As a seller, one would hope you would want happy customers. Could the buyer have gotten upset too, certainly, but this should not turn into the Hatfield and the McCoy drama, compromising a little goes a long way, and compromise, could do a lot for your reputation here. All I see at this point, is you insist it's your way or no way. You asked the buyer "how you could make things right" and when he told you, you didn't like the answer. Had you agreed to the $9.00 refund (which sounded reasonable) or had offered up front to take the books back, and refund the shipping if you saw you made an error, and the buyer came on here, I doubt anyone would have said very much. 6. Just back today. Another one of my earlier mistakes that I cracked out. This was before I found these boards and got my mind right.
  7. Positive, the books were not secured in the box and were allow to move around in the box and one corner on the said book was crushed. ' Did you take any pics. In a situation like that, its best sometimes to take pics of the box before and after it's opened. Just a suggestion.
  8. I don't know why this is even being discussed. Do we have differnet sets of rules here for different sellers? He should be on the list, and that's it. What good are the rules if they keep getting side-stepped or tweaked.
  9. I have to agree with the above posts. How hard is it to send invoices out withing a few days after the thread is closed. Heck, I want my money, and my customers want their books, that's why they bought them. Prompt service and shipping keeps people coming back.
  10. That would be like pulling two soda straws out of a malt.
  11. Marvel Masterworks. http://marvelmasterworks.com/marvel/mm/atlas/horror/tta_mm01.html
  12. That sure don't look like a low-grade copy either. Nice looking book.
  13. Picked these up earlier this week at a shop for dirt cheap. Why not?
  14. I don't know if that's true. It took you twenty minutes to pay me from our last transaction. I was just about to go into panic mode and throw you on the list.
  15. I posted this in my con report but here it is again. Picked this up from Blazing Bob at C2E2. You can see on the cover it has some marker bleed through from someone circling the Issue number and date on the inside F.C. This book was just too darn nice to pass by though, and I really enjoyed reading the Ditko stories. I don't know how CGC would hammer this book but I still think its worth a shot. It has beautiful inside pages and paper.
  16. Was just browsing E-Bay for this title and came across this listing. F/VF. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Adult-Fantasy-9-1961-Comic-F-VF-/160790853498?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item256fe1b77a
  17. NIce pick up Tom. I have the urge now to start working on this run.
  18. Fast payment and P.M.s. Good transaction
