yes, of course I still have it. took to many years to complete the full run. tell FT I said hey, and he is missed around here with his no nonsense ball busting. lol

Isn't there some way to tag people in these new fangled boards? Nick still checks his PMs here.

That almost sounds like one of FT's posts. Has he been around lately. Hey, I just noticed I'm almost at 25K posts. To celebrate I'm going to open up a mint, untouched pack of Mars Attack cards and eat the stale gum. F__ k it.

FT isn't on the boards much at all these days. He only lives a ten minute drive away from me though so I still see him pretty often.

This thread really starts picking up steam around page 2

Your take on older/younger members is spot on I'd say.  There is room for everyone here (except for complete tits.......  or teat milkers

Thanks, I went back to around page 50 and enjoyed going through the pics you'd posted. One weird random thought popped into my head for some reason. That thought was "wow, Capfreak has probably got kids by now". :whatthe:

  4. Just had a read through this thread, had to skip about sixty pages due to lack of time, and there are more of the old guard here than I realised. Makes me nostalgic for the old days and the many friends and aquaintances that I made here over the years.

As for older members putting off newer members from joining, I've heard that being said ever since I joined the boards and it never stopped the place from thriving and growing. New members would soon acclimatise to the boards if they didn't just go all out and make themselves look like a complete tit. The boards had a personality and newbies would find their place in it after a bit.

if Arch puts my custom title back in place, I might consider looking in and posting from time to time. I spent much constructive and unconstructive time here. :cloud9:

Ouch - that website is a clunker - I'm picturing squirrels running on wheels to power it.  And every title that starts with a "T" listed under "T"?  The ASM, The Avengers, The Defenders?  Is this a British convention?

No, the site was just set up for the subscription service by the guys who run it. The back issue section is something that has been added on and the site wasn't originally designed for it. The whole thing with titles starting with "The" appearing under the "T" section is one of the issues that need sorting out.

I am indeed, but slowed down a bit. Bought a house and we had a little baby. Got some nice grails in my back pocket.

Do you have a website or something I can have a look at?

Congrats on the house and baby (not necessarily in that order). ?

I've got a back issue section that I'm just populating at the moment on www.getmycomics.com though I've only got around 1,800 books listed so far. The back issue section is mine but the subscription service on the site doesn't involve me. The site is still having some teething troubles which is why I haven't pushed it so far but hopefully you should be able to browse a bit if you want.  (thumbsu

  7. I'm a member dealer for the other guys and I happily deal with slabs from both companies all the time. I use GPA when pricing both and have no trouble in shifting either type of slab. The aquisition of the other guys by Beckett isn't bothering me at all and I'll keep on doing what I've been doing. I think having the other guys around has been a great thing for CGC as they've tightened up their whole operation and I think they're better than they've been in a very long time.
