  1. Exactly where I’m at... spine stresses, blunted corners
  2. Excellent explanation. @Angel of Death A Printer’s crease is an artifact of production and doesn’t affect the grade in most instances. But when a Printer’s crease results in color loss, as it does in this case, is it treated as a defect?
  3. This... due to weak corners, soiled BC
  4. Is the spot above the ‘m’ in comics a print defect, or is it color loss? It looks a bit like a slight tape pull.
  5. Your question has intrigued me. What did you mean by warranted? That the book was over (or under) graded at 7.5? If so, what did you personally think the grade was? Just curious.
  6. This... and a couple of soft corners... agree with 8.0
  7. Hi all... Here is ASM #28, the first appearance of the Molten Man. Hard issue to find in a high grade. High gloss, bright white pages, lays flat and is complete. But... just in case you miss it, there’s a slight (ahem) corner crease. And there’s writing in the interior on the last page. I struggled with the glare on the pictures so I apologize for the quality issues. Thanks!
  8. Hi all... Here is Amazing Spider-Man #27. Complete with nice gloss and decent corners. It does have a spine roll and an oxidation shadow on the back cover. So two questions: What is the grade presently? And what might the grade be after a C&P to smooth out that crummy spine roll? As always, can’t thank everyone enough for the time...
  9. My personal grade was 7.0 which may be a bit optimistic. Thanks!
  10. I had this at 5.5 due to the stain and beefy corner crease on the BC. Possibly a bit conservative, but ultimately not worth grading. Thanks everyone!!
  11. Two L’s... I knew that didn’t look right. Appreciate the comment.
  12. Thanks, all! 5.0 was my personal grade as well.
  13. 4.5 — Yes, clean and press will help but sub fold is going to hold the grade down.
  14. @Point FiveTop and bottom are cut square and the right edge is definitely uneven. The centerfold picture shows the considerable narrowing of the margin bottom to top. Possible that the book was skewed when that edge was trimmed? I’m guessing that all edges aren’t cut at the same time. 6.0
  15. To the individual who wrote on that book: C’mon dude! Invest in a freaking notepad! They cost like $0.29 back in 1964... 3.0
