  1. I just sold a piece of OA to a board member payable middle of April on cheap piece. There are a few boardies I deal with on a regular basis who ask me for 2 or 3 weeks to pay which is cool with me. If people ask, i'll negotiate.

    That's because you're a sexy *spoon*. grin.gif

  2. Should there also be a way to make amends on this? Seems unfair to fault someone for a time period without letting them redeem themselves.

    Pay?

Anyways, I was referring to something coming up that is out of the buyer's hands etc. I support these kind of information for the sake of the information but it also can drag somebody's name through just enough dirt that it'll make it hard to accept them fully. Example, I just ignored bronzejunkie's offer on the red sonjas just simply on principle that she/he needs to pay off october or come to a peaceful resolution. And in the future I probably won't pay attention to it. I'm contradicting myself and I'm aware so I'm just going to shut up. I guess I am just torn between my quiet side and my drama loving side.

  3. Technical grades be damned!

Good call. If you collect golden age and feel that way, you are ahead of the curve. thumbsup2.gif

You're supposed to grade those things?

I'm just happy with some low grade copies of books with attractive (at least to me) covers - Case in point, this came in last week. No one else will be excited but I was yay.gif -

shy.gif It's in horrid condition but I'll be damned if I am going to pass up a GA book in ANY condition for a good price.

  4. Nice! Glad you got it (I mailed it for him). It looks great in person and has eye appeal much better than the technical grade.

grin.gif I was wondering why the name was different in the box. I almost dropped it when I pulled it out, it's beautiful. Technical grades be damned!

  5. Sure I see a good deal and try to buy when the funds aren't always available, but I make sure to let the buyer know.

Seriously bad form...if you don't have the money immediately available to buy, refrain from using the takeit.gif. It's not a hard concept. Sellers shouldn't have to wait for you to get your finances straight...

Sometimes I think it does well for common courtesy. Centaurman let me do time payments on a book, because I couldn't pass up on it due to the overwhelming good deal. My budget is small so it helps out a lot.
