  1. pretty much, and with them being extremely strict on 10's for no reason, you're not getting any. So you'd be a fool to not do bulk, and just pay a price increase for any card that costs too much. It's win win, but you can't explain things like that to these people. They're brainwashed loyalists that believe cgc can do no wrong.
  2. Express: received 1/11 shipped 1/25 economy: received 1/11 status: received.... TAT was 30 days at the time. We are now at 65 business days, and the TAT has been increased to 142 days. I'm 100% going to miss my nephew's birthday, now. He loves pokemon cards, and these were going to be his first graded cards. Annnnnnd I already told him what he was getting... so now... going to be a very unhappy 10th birthday for 1 little boy...
  3. Why is economy double the price of bulk, but only a 2 day less estimated turnaround time? There's 0 incentive to use economy. Might as well just do away with it entirely. You should probably stop grading bulk for a while, and get to some of those economy orders... This is ridiculous, I paid for my grading months ago, and they just keep extending the wait time every month. At the current rate, I will literally never get my cards back. Next month it will be 170 days, the month after it will be 200 days, ad infinitum. Keep in mind I've been complaining since they STARTED increasing the TAT, so this is exactly what I said would happen the entire time, and everyone was like nahhhhhhh, nooooooo, they won't raise it EVERY MONTH... It's not that I'm mad... I'm just disappointed. You are destroying your fledgling grading service before it even leaves the nest. RIP cgc trading cards.
  4. They weight the centering on the back of the card more heavily than any other company, that's for sure. Sorta irrelevant though...
  5. With a contractor, you'd have a lawsuit. There'd also be a contract, though...
  6. they're working on value orders from like 10 days before that. I have an economy from january, and I'm completely in the dark.
  7. and the 75/25 allowance is directly from the psa website as well. I thought it was 60/40, but it isn't. At least check these things out before you act like you know them. Especially when I literally just told you what it was, and where I got the information from...
  8. Incorrect. I will refer you to my above post where I copy pasted the guidelines from beckett... considering I just posted it, and you ignored it... please read it slowly this time: "Pristine 10 Centering: 50/50 all around on front. 60/40 or better on back. Corners: Perfect to the naked eye and Mint under magnification. Edges: Perfect to the naked eye and virtually free of flaws under magnification. Surface: No print spots. Flawless color, devoid of registration or focus imperfections. Perfect gloss, devoid of scratches and metallic print lines."
  9. psa actually allows up to 75/25. Still, both have acceptable "allowances" for the backs of cards...
  10. From Beckett.com: "Pristine 10 Centering: 50/50 all around on front.
  11. No... Both beckett and psa both have a 60/40 allowance for the backs of cards in the 10 grade.
  12. Are industry standards not important?
  13. Is centering on the back that important to them? lol...
  14. that's horrible! The turnaround was like 30 days +5 for subgrades then, too...
  15. No, I'm sure you are. You're ignoring the evidence, and pretending we're just crying that we didn't get 10's that you don't think we deserve. You're missing the point. The grades are essentially arbitrary, with no visible objective reasoning. compare those cards, and take your head out of your .
  16. I actually had both the secret charizard and pikachu at the same time and decided to grade the charizard psa, and the pikachu with cgc. The charizard got a 10.
  17. send the same card 4 times, and you'll get entirely different grades each time
  18. I think you're missing the point. That cgc 7 above was graded 9.5 centering, yet it is visibly less well centered than the other card which has a 9 on centering. Inconsistent. Arbitrary. That's why PSA never did or will do subgrades, it shows exactly how subjective grading is.
  19. Corners 9.5?! The card doesn't have corners!
  20. they did my pikachu dirty too. 9.5 on a card that was clearly a 10. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/3770580001/
  21. If anyone reading this has had their status recently changed, it would be nice to hear about it!
