  1. Hey there Mike. Is this still the procedure on regrades? Should I create a separate submission slip, keep the card in the slab and ship it in with the overall order? Considering my card is the old style label with subgrades, if it does not change grade would it maintain the label? Is the guarantee of maintaining the minimum base grade of what it currently has still there as well? I also have a few cards that were graded by a company called Puregradedx, I understand I can't do a crossover for them but can I submit them in the slabs and have you guys crack them to grade them? Thanks!
  2. Received package 2/26/22. Only disappointment was they refused to grade the metal Pikachu card because it was in the first stages of chipping on an edge.
  3. Econ - Received 2/2/22, Shipped 2/22/22 Mildly satisfying to see it all match up, and on a Twoday as well :P 6 cards with subgrades in the sub
  4. @Mittens Now you're making me worried about mine that are in grading right now.....
  5. Your problem is believing PSA gave you those 10's because they legitimately deserved it. PSA has been a running joke in the grading community on their laxness for a very long time. If you like that, then might I recommend removing yourself from these forums and going to fanboi over on their forum instead? Also, this "CGC definitely grades based their own opinion", which, first let's ignore the horrible grammar and headache just trying to translate it, but second, EVERY grading company grades based on their own opinion. There is not a single company out there that doesn't. That's literally what you're paying for, a second opinion and an encapsulation. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
  6. I actually prefer that they are harder to get. For years I've seen too many fake 10's in PSA cases that don't nearly deserve the grade they were given. Now if you actually get a 10, it was because it was pristine, it was perfect, it was deserving. CGC has had a rep as a tough grader since late 2020, I don't know why this is still a surprise to people.....
  7. As someone who QA's and supports the product that my developers push out, I disagree. All too often I see developers half-azz things to the point where their customer service reps have to take it in the neck for something their developers didn't have time to troubleshoot and forced out, or didn't take time to foresee and pushed out a half assed product. Given that their customer service reps are probably already getting it in the neck and have been the past 1.5 years, I'm sure they would appreciate a smoother release rather than a rocky one that you patch up. Rushed work equals shoddy work.
  8. 5/17/21 bulk still in G/E/I been that way for about 1.5 months now. Already called and paid ahead of time, had to contact them again due to incorrect sub grade rates charged, still waiting for it to change to QC
  9. I just had that today. Thankfully I had a submission form printed for myself which told me what the totals should be for each area and they were definitely charging me at the new subgrade rates and had to initiate a refund to me. Double check your charges guys!
  10. I believe if you do a regrade on something they themselves already graded, it cannot go lower than it's already established grade, only higher or the same. Crossovers are a different story though. EDIT: Yes this is in fact, factual -
  11. Bulk order. Delivered 3/22/21 Received today 5/17/21 So for bulk orders, you're looking at about a 2 month receiving wait.
  12. Thank you for saying this. All too often these moose knuckles are screaming at the top of their lungs like the spoiled children that they are for something they have no comprehension of what's required to make. Coding a website is one thing, data compilation, accessibility, hosting, etc... And if I was them, I would make sure they had a phone app right off the bat as well, to appease the inevitable cry babies that will whine about that. It's almost like people couldn't get cards graded prior to things like pop reports.....oh wait
  13. My post wasn't even directed at you, but since you seemed to take it nice and personal, sure why not. I disagree and I'm speaking from a standpoint of development and business. They had absolutely no idea how or even if they would be successful in the market at all. They are jumping in to the water at a deficit against established companies. You don't slap additional cost and development time in to an investment unless you know it's going to pay off. This isn't the stock market where you sit there and take chances. They tested the waters, and they are not even a year in to this endeavor and already people are jumping down their throats acting like investors who owns a stock portion of the company. Entitled little dweebs and pukes with superiority complexes coming out in droves demanding things when they have no idea of any of the facts behind the scenes whatsoever. I don't have those facts either, which is why I'm calling those exact little dweebs and pukes out on how they could possibly know where, what or why CGC is doing what they are doing. Please, enlighten us all knowing ones, tell us how to code a website, tell us how to run a business, tell us how to grade cards, tell us how to spend our money, tell us how to retroactively put thousands of data submissions in to searchable spreadsheets, by all means, you guys seem to have the answers, spit it out already. I've never graded cards before I made my submission to CGC, I owe them nothing except the money for the services that they provide. Would I like to see them become successful? Yes absolutely, because competition in the market helps drive the others to push for success as well. Cheaper rates, better service, it all derives from competition. It behooves me to see CGC succeed and I would love it if even more companies started popping up on the market as well. Do I care if they answer people on the internet chat boards about their product? Not one damn bit, because if I had actual questions, I would reach out to CGC's customer service personally, via email or phone....you know, like an adult would do.....
  14. It's cute that people think that graders are responding to them on the internet (pro tip, they aren't, there are more positions than just graders at CGC.....). It's also adorable that people have no concept of time when it comes to sheet data entry and coding a website. This isn't some BS you can whip up on Wix guys lol, nor is the data entry something that one person can handle. You would have a backlog first and foremost and if you didn't have a massive number of employees working on it from the get go you would never get to the current population, because you'd always be working from a deficit. Not only that, it'd give the people of this forum yet another thing to complain about, so why would they expend more time and energy towards something that will inevitably be put on blast on this forum and via their phone system anyways? Also the "If it was my business..." stuff that always seems to pop up.....it's not, let it go, you'll never own them or even be relevant enough to have an opinion that matters about them to dictate how they do business. If you don't like that, the door on the way out is a pull, not push, so you don't look like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person leaving. K bai!
  15. And I think you're being an opinionated jerk who's entitled little self esteem seems to come out in a tough guy personality on the internet. You do you boo boo, let us do whatever the hell we want with our time and money as we see fit. You don't like that? Pound sand.
  16. I wish. Right now the people causing the biggest delay are the flippers, the people trying to catch the trend. The ones that don't give a damn about the cards themselves, they only care about the grade and what cash value it means for them. Half of the people submitting likely don't even have any personal graded cards they are keeping, all of them are going on ebay the moment they get their hot little hands on them. I would totally be OK with CGC grading only cards that are currently not printed.
  17. It seems even more silly that you're attempting to tell other people how to spend their money lol. He told you he doesn't feel the need, stop pressing your opinion. I'm in the same boat as him, submitted under economy and another under bulk, I've had these cards for over 20 years, another year waiting for a grade isn't going to hurt me at all.....
  18. My guess is their grading scale is similar to BGS, and you can find a breakdown on BGS's grading scale here - https://codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/189444/determine-beckett-grading-service-bgs-final-grade
  19. From the front, looks like nicks in bottom left and top left corners, and then the centering isn't doing it any favors either, left to right is off enough that it's visually easy to spot. Like you said though, I wouldn't have expected a 5.5, that's more like 7-8 range in my opinion. Not sure what's making up the rest of it
  20. I really believe we just witnessed a birth of a CGC Karen here......Literally talks about solving things in person a cool professional manner then gaslights the people they want to talk to on the forums. You wanna handle something? Talk to the people in charge, not the media. What this person did was the equivalent of witnessing what they believed to be robbery and vandalism, and instead of reporting it to the police, you know, the people that could actually do something about it, they take an article out in the newspaper and talk about it there, or do a news interview and put the person on blast. If you have valid concerns, talk to the people that can do something, otherwise every roast you receive you are well deserving of because you're airing out personal business between you and a company. To do it on their own forums as well is the equivalent of being a Walmart employee and showing up to Targets team meetings and putting them on blast in their own store.....
  21. It quite literally depends on the buyers. If I'm in the market for a card, and it's between one with subgrades and one without, I'd pay a little more of a premium for subgraded card, especially since I'll know what's wrong with it and whether it could possibly regrade or cross grade. And as others above me have said, it really starts mattering with those higher grades. If I see a very very strong 9.5 that is a .5 subgrade away from a 10, that's a better potentially of an increase grade in regrading than something that just has a base grade and might need to go further before it could jump up.
  22. Not necessarily. While GMA has been very inconsistent as far as grades over the years, if the card grading drops a full 2 grades, then you might be in trouble. There are lots of new buyers on the market who still don't know what and who to buy, so there is a decent chance you could get close to CGC 9 money for a GMA 9 card. In this instance, since you know it would be dropping grades, just not how many, you're gonna be gambling. It really depends on what you're doing with it. Case in point one like this sold not too long ago - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Charizard-Delta-Species-4-Ex-Crystal-Guardians-Holo-Pokemon-GMA-Grade-9-Mint-/393129832745?hash=item5b885d3129%3Ag%3AHYIAAOSw~jlgJbaO&nma=true&si=mdg0b00AnG1qODF2oa%2FcLuX8wGQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
