1. Sold on Heritage yesterday (Sunday, Oct. 28) for $432: https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mike-esposito-dracula-lives-29-cover-original-art-marvel-uk-1975-/a/121843-14056.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 Now, less than 24 hours later, on CAF for $900: https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1508377&GSub=171439 Notice the seller has lifted Heritage’s entire description except for editing out one part: “Marginal moisture staining and light toning.” Guess they didn’t think that was important? Not that they would even know if it’s true since they don’t have the art in hand yet. Erik Essington, once again making collecting comic art great again!
2. I'm high bidder on the complete "Master Race" story by Krigstein. My bid: $1. Think it will hold?
3. (Posting for a friend)...is it Dr. Clews or Dr. Clewes???
4. Marvel Premiere #31 page 16 (by Giffen & Janson) -- 1st appearance and origin of WOODGOD! From the minds of Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen (with a cover by King Kirby), the Man-Brute called WOODGOD premiered in the pages of Marvel Premiere #31 in 1976. Woodgod, Marvel's best all-nude superhero! It's only a matter of time before Disney/Marvel makes a big-budget Woodgod movie. Who would play Woodgod? Ben Stiller, Matthew McConaughey, Tyler Hoechlin, Shia LeBuff??? Maybe Woodgod will team-up with Marvel's second best all-nude superhero, Man-Thing? Coming soon to a theater near you, hopefully in 4D Imax....Disney/Marvel Presents: GIANT-SIZE MAN-THING & WOODGOD! I can see Stan Lee and his signature cologne making a great cameo in this film! By the way, I got a whiff of that cologne and you know what it smells like? Jack Kirby's tears.
5. Mike, This is Steve Kriozere. It was not Mike Browning who spoke to you at SDCC 2016 about the Redondo Swamp Thing. It was me. You must have incorrectly read this thread. There is no reason to jump on Mike Browning. He did nothing wrong. And you should take down his personal information and that unpaid invoice. Talk to him privately about that unpaid item if you want to get paid. Regarding the Swamp Thing #15 piece, I saw it listed for sale in 2016 from Dennis Villegas on CAF for $1,000 as a recreation by Redondo. I then later saw it in one of your updates in June or July 2016 (before SDCC) for $15K. It looked very familiar but it also mentioned in your website description that a European collector owned this cover for over 40 years. I know you list consignments on your website, so wasn't sure if you owned it or it was a consignment item and someone else actually owned and you didn't even have the cover in your possession. When I later saw it on your convention wall at SDCC 2016 I asked if you owned it and you said you did. You may have gotten in a purchase or a trade. I don't remember. But I did mention to you that it was listed, and sold by Dennis on CAF as a recreation by Redondo. You told me it was the original published cover. I left it at that. When I saw the piece in your update in 2016 I emailed Dennis about it and he confirmed that it was a recreation done in 1980 by Redondo. You can see our email exchange below (start at the bottom). Dennis sold the piece for $450. I do not know who Dennis sold it to, he did not say and I did not ask. None of my business. But somehow that same piece made it to you and your collection and your convention wall at SDCC 2016. You should talk to whomever you bought or traded it from (in Europe?) who said it was in their collection for 40 years. I'm sorry I did not press the matter further at SDCC 2016 and it wasn't probably the best venue to do so since it's insanely busy there for you. But like you said there have been no other versions of the #15 cover, so it's entirely possible this piece has always been the published cover. Steve K. --------------------------- Danilo Villegas ()To:you Details No somebody else. Im quite sure he understood it was a 1980 remake by redondo. 8. It’s a recreation and was sold a couple years ago as such by Dennis Villegas on CAF for $1K.
9. I need to see backside scans of each page before I’m comfortable giving a number.
10. Agreed! Not everything in this hobby should not be about "how much is it worth?" or "what do you think it will go for?" And do you want just a number? Okay, how about: 10. This complete story is a Perfect 10.
11. Hopefully not too high because the Donnellys consigned it.
12. A guy, a girl and a gun (5-7-75). Added bonus, the dialogue: "No time for art appreciation..."

17. The Donnelly sister need to get her brothers to create a new title stat logo to slap on the Basquiat so it can then be an "alternate cover" and it will sell better next time.
18. I thought the Secret Defenders page went strong. I pegged it as a $60 page in the Focused Auction but somehow it made it into the Featured. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FALLSUB.ASP%3FFocused%3D1%26id%3D1398%26pg%3D4%23Item_1252420&id=1252420&itemType=1
19. I find the best way to keep art safe is to trade it to the Donnellys. No one will ever touch it again. Ever.
