Yeah it’s around or just under a month from when you pay until you get the shipping notice. You should hear something by the end of this month.

I see, I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one....

I won another time from them, that's 4 months back. At that time, it was really quick, I got the book less than 2 weeks after the auction win. I'm surprised to see it's such a long time this time

  2. I won an auction on May-28 and I paid the next day, but up until now I still haven't received the shipment notification. I e-mailed, I called and left messages and yet no response whatsoever

I'm really frustrated, at this point I really don't care anymore if I get the book or my money back

I know there's one other member here on the same boat. I wonder if there are others experiencing long delays from ComicLink auction. This is auction win, not even the exchange purchase, which I know can take up to 2 months to get the shipment from them

Not seeing a whole lot of movement on 7.5. Maybe things are starting to level out in some grades? Or maybe it’s still too early to tell. I think we’ll have a more solid answer by the end of the year.

    IH181 continues trending lower

    CGC7.5 sold for 7.1K

CGC8.0 (perfect centering) sold for 8.3K

Basically you can get nice copy of 8.0 with far below price than peak 7.5’s price in April

  4. I think many of the Phase IV movies are going to underperform; People are still reluctant to bunch up in a close room; they are now more accustomed to Disney+ service; Many of A-list characters are gone, Iron-Man, the real Captain America; External agenda other than making good movies; Not respecting the source material; Same old tired MCU formula; B-list characters; Another slow build-up to the next big bad guy.....etc, etc

You know prices haven't eased up at all as I was pondering last night whether or not to bump the bid up to $280 or about double guide on this gorgeous looking painted pink colored cover copy of Flash Gordon #1:  :luhv:

I guess I didn't have to ponder too long as it sold for a rather astounding $1,960; as compared to equivalent graded copies selling for only $227 back in 2017 and then an original label one for $576 in 2019 which I was hoping was just an outlier due to the upgrade potential.  :whatthe:

that is indeed a beautiful book though

Two Hulk 181 CGCs 8.5 just closed for under $10k vs recent highs of +$12k.  One was Clink this week.    An 8.0 also just closed on eBay for $8.3k vs recent highs of +$10k.

Not saying this is a market correction yet - but feels like March April surge of books going up by 10-20% within a couple of weeks has subsided.    As someone selling books in this weeks Clink auction I do feel like prices are softer.

virtually no one living has any genuine childhood nostalgia for anything Platinum. It would not surprise me if Overstreet drops the Platinum section of the guide entirely before the decade is out.

It would be sad if Overstreet actually drops them from the list. I think these older comics need to be catalogued, somewhere, somehow

I think special/rare books library should start collecting/preserving the platinum/golden age books. Those libraries preserve European illuminated manuscripts or old illustrated books, why can't they start preserving these older comics. They are part of American culture after all
