  1. I'm ready to buy issue #1 in 9.8 condition, but I see a ton of auctions to choose from.  Are all Universal Grade 9.8s with White Pages considered equal?  As in I may as well buy the cheapest one I see (looks to be just shy of $500)?  Or is there something else I should be looking at?  Sorry for the beginner question but I am brand new to graded comics, and the Godzilla #23 9.8 I bought on eBay 2 weeks ago was my first ever graded comic. :-)

  2. I picked up my first couple 9.8s!  If anyone knows a better way to do this, please share it with me.

All I'm doing right now is searching eBay for "Godzilla 9.8" and clicking Buy It Now on whatever comes up that I don't have yet. Is there a better way?  I've found that if I add any other words to my search, then legit items get filtered out.  If I add "CGC" or "Marvel" to the search, then the listings missing those terms don't show up.

  3. I've been watching that complete graded set of these stickers on eBay the past few months.   I'm super tempted to crack a box or two of these stickers to send off for grading.  Has anyone here had these stickers graded?  I'm wondering what kind of grades I could expect from opening packs. I imagine they'd have to be pretty high to compare to the cost of leaving the box sealed.

  4. Anyone know what to make of the fact that the 1st revision 4-488-05-01-5 that Wormboy posted is different than the one that Icummins posted?

The top 4 rows of each are the same, but the bottom 3 rows are different. Yet they are both 1st revision 4-488-05-01-5

Wormboy's sheet is in the same order as the full size sheets, where Icummins is not. That seems to me that perhaps the Icummins picture is maybe an earlier revision?

I found this image on the web suggesting that the later series was a 12x11 half sheet on each side rather than 7x11. This makes sense since the same is true of the later wacky series 14,15 and 16 which were all published in mid 1975 or 1976.

Sheet images are cool also because you can easily identify the double prints in a set like this.

Wow, the sheet in this picture is the one I actually own!  You can tell because of the red Bucky in the 2nd from bottom row. I had the sheet pressed before it was framed to flatten it out somewhat.

Also, as you can see from my pictures, even the 1975 series was 12x11.
