  1. Tales of Suspense #80 pg. 8 “Splash Page” – Adam Austin (Gene Colan) on pencils and Gary Michaels (Jack Abel) on inks. Large Silver Age twice-up art from 1966, image size 12.5" X 18.5", featuring the Invincible Iron Man and the Sub-Mariner in Marvel’s first crossover storyline. The story concludes in Tales to Astonish. Page is white and in great condition. The scan makes the page look yellow towards the bottom. That is an artifact of the scan. See pics. "Gene Colan" written in bottom margin. A really nice silver-age Iron Man three-panel “Splash Page” from 1966 featuring the classic Silver-age battle between Iron Man and the Sub-Mariner. Page is clean; the only whiteout is in lettering corrections in the first and the last text boxes and a small amount to clean up the left hand side of the border. Other than this, the inking is flawless. I really like Abel’s inks on Colan during this time. The pair came on board with ish #73 and I think that they really pulled out all the stops during their ten issue run. No shortcuts or rush jobs, just beautiful pencils and gorgeous inks. Lots of detail on this page. $9.5 K SHIPPED SALE PENDING FedEx Priority w/ sig. req. CONUS. Buyer will pay for full insurance if desired. Art will be securely shipped in a FedEx art box and art will be backed by a piece of Masonite. Outside Continental USA, contact me via PM first, as there will be additional shipping fees and art will ship FedEx International. Personal check, Cashier's check or MO are welcome and preferred. Zelle is more than welcome. Bank transfer okay if I know you. PayPal is great, no friends & family to circumvent fees. Buy it, make an offer via PM, or seals the deal and trumps ongoing PM's. Payment due within 5 days unless other arrangements have been made. Thanks for looking!
  2. Tales of Suspense #75 pg. 10 – Adam Austin (Gene Colan) on pencils and Gary Michaels (Jack Abel) on inks. Large Silver Age twice-up art from 1966, image size 12.5" X 18.5", featuring the Invincible Iron Man, Pepper Potts, and Happy Hogan as the Freak. Page is white and in great condition. For some reason, the scan makes the page look slightly tanned on the edges. That's on the scan, not the art itself. See scan and pictures. "Gene Colan" written in bottom margin. A really nice five-panel silver-age Iron Man action page from 1966 featuring a classic Silver-age “villain”. Page is very clean; the only whiteout is in a lettering correction in panel 3 under the words “GUN-FIRE!” and a very, very small amount to clean up the border of the same panel. Other than this lettering, the inking is flawless. I really like Abel’s inks on Colan during this time. The pair came on board with ish #73 and I think that they really pulled out all the stops during their ten issue run. No shortcuts or rush jobs, just beautiful pencils and gorgeous inks. Together, they defined Iron Man’s expressive face-mask look that carried on throughout the sixties and more?). 6K SHIPPED SALE PENDING FedEx Priority w/ sig. req. CONUS. 3. Good afternoon, everybody. I hope everyone is doing well! I will list a page or 2 from Colan's initial run on Iron Man in Tales of Suspense. Usual rules apply. THANKS FOR LOOKING
  4. When I started reading marvel Comics, Giant-Man was one of my favorite heroes. For whatever reasons, I don't think he was given a fair shake; with a bit more care and attention he could have been much more popular. IMO. least favorite?
  5. While not the best example of their collaboration, this page has a permanent spot in my collection. When all's said and done there's not a whole lot of Kirby / Ditko Marvel Silver Age superhero stuff out there. Stan, Jack, Steve and Sam Rosen all on the same page
  6. Kirby started Tales of Asgard and did the Thor story in ish 97. Don Heck pencilled & inked the featured Thor stories in JIM 98-100. Then Kirby came back full-time with ish 101 doing the featured story & Tales of Asgard.
  7. I post most my stuff. I don't mind unsolicited offers, just sometimes I forget to respond. This is a good excuse to post something I haven't shown before. I really liked the Archie Comics Fly / Fly Man comic. Here's a house ad by Reinman. ***Notice the "young butterfly" text with a glue stain in panel four. I haven't checked, but I'd wager that the word "caterpillar" was glued over the original text.
  8. I keep mine in a drawer away from light. I wouldn't' hang then on a wall. That being said, I imagine time plays a factor as well. That being said, mine haven't seemed to fade much more than when I got them. It's a shame because I'd love to display them. Maybe someday I'll make copies.
  9. Marker? I have a couple Gil Kane pieces where the marker has faded a bit. Turned red / brown.

  13. The Avengers #4 2.5 No pieces missing on front or back cover, both staples tight at centerfold. Good cover color, no major cover crease. NO Marvel chipping. Book has miswrap – it looks like somebody ‘adjusted’ the spine so that the entire cover can be seen on the front of the book. I think it was manufactured miswrapped with the staples about 1/4” on the back and the front cover image wrapping around to the back and so someone “moved” the center crease. But both staples are firmly attached to the centerfold. I believe that I bought this book from Bob Sidebottom circa 1968, or maybe I bought it mail order from Robert Bell. It’s been in my collection since then. SEE PICTURES if you have any questions. Or ask me. This is a nice lower-grade book. A nice Key Marvel Silver age Book at a good price that looks nice in a mylar. Books in this grade with pieces missing from cover have been selling at this price. Price is $1100. Shipping anywhere in the Continental United States is included. Insurance extra if desired and paid by buyer.
