Interesting. The bottom right copyright indica is identical so both pertain to be originals (yours has a shop stamp/sticker which I assume was put on by seller). The only dayglo ones I have seen are modern reprints without the Personality Posters indica.
I don’t believe heritage would sell reprints/copies without listing as such, I wonder if the dayglo effect is due to the lighting when photographed (blacklight?) or perhaps it’s a rare oddity.
I’m going to keep an eye out for other dayglo ones.

I put the shop stamp sticker on the Hulk poster that I bought as a souvenir as a reminder of the trip to the French Quarter.

To be clear, the indicia on my poster and the non- "day-glo" one on Heritage are identical.  The Day-Glo one on Heritage has the different indicia.  Look at the text centering on each line and how the 3 lines of text line up to each other.  But all have 1966 copyrights, so I'm guessing neither are the modern reprints.  And I agree, heritage wouldn't knowingly sell reprints without listing as such.

And yeah, I think the one is intended for backlight viewing, but it was photographed or scanned under regular light otherwise the white background would have a violet hue.  So I believe that's how it looks under regular light.  My backlight posters (back in the day) colors looked similar to the Hulk day-glo when viewed under normal lighting.

Yes indeed. I actually miss the rock posters more. I moved out at 17. My mom really cleaned out everything I didn’t take. Yes, including my early SA comics and toys. I got over it.

Some of those vintage Fillmore posters are worth some change.  I have a bunch on my walls from the late 90's and early 2000's from shows I attended.  A couple signed (just wait on the side of the venue toward the back when the performers come out to leave).

I didn't live here in the 60s or 70s so I missed out on the great vintage ones.

I had the huge Vampirella poster on my wall. Got torn down and thrown away with my Filmore rock posters when I moved out.

Misery loves company.  So sad to hear!  But I bet you enjoyed the posters on your wall while you had 'em, rather than be squirreled away in a poster tube or flat file.

I’m not aware of two printings, however there are two different sizes; The set of eight are 12” x 16” these have just a marvel comics copyright in bottom right. The larger hulk one which you have is 41” x 29” and has 1966 marvel copyright AND personality posters name and address in bottom right.
Spider-Man therefore has three printings - the original six foot one ravaged by your cat, and the two reworked ones by Personality Posters, the 16” one in the set of eight and the 41” one same size as your hulk.
Only hulk and Spider-Man had the 41” treatment.

If the listing details and scans are correct, I believe I've seen 2 different large Hulk posters.  Both appox 30"x42"

Here's one on Heritage archives, listed as 30"x42" . If the color on the scan is fairly accurate, then this one seems to be a brighter green and darker purple, with much lighter half-tones under the arms.  The indicia in the lower right is different than mine, too.   maybe a day-glo version?

-Here's another Heritage archive, which I believe is the same version that I have.  Colors more muted, half-tones on the body (but not the foot) are darker, and the indica (which is difficult to see in the scan so I adjusted the brightness) is like mine.  Descriptions says size is 29" x 41.75"

Yes, this is the Personality Posters set of eight. Spider-Man is an amended version of the OPs poster albeit a smaller size. The hulk and Spider-Man posters of this set were released in a larger format but not quite six foot like the original.
As Unca Ben says Spider-Man was reworked for these posters, the other noticeable variation being the loss of friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man “signature”

I've noticed that the  3 ½ foot Hulk poster seems to have 2 printings; the bottom right indicia is different on some posters I've seen online vs the one I have.

    Good poster post!
The door to my comic room is still unadorned. Maybe I need a 6 foot Ditko Spidey...

I believe that if they were to re-issue the original 6 foot Ditko Spider-Man poster (not the Marvelmania one that followed that had details added to the face and body, but the pure Ditko image) it would sell pretty well.  They could even charge more than $1.99 :D

  8. Thor 414 page 18 -  Ron Frenz on pencils and the great Joe Sinnott on inks.  SPLASH Page from 1990, image size 15" X 10",  featuring Thor battling Ulik.

It's a nice, clean battle-action splash page depicting an angry Thor dealing a smashing blow to Ulik, King of the trolls and popular Thor villain.

Ron did a great job on this splash, Kirby would be proud.
Joe Sinnott really knocked himself out on this one.  Just great,
luscious inks and beautiful finishes by a master.

There's not a lot of Ron Frenz comps on Heritage, most panel pages go for less than 1K.  But a Thor cover recently sold for over 5K ,and even though it's a cover I like this battle page much, much better.

Very clean, white page;  no whiteout except for a small (appox 1 sq cm) amount in the rocks above and to the right of the page number at the bottom, and a small (less than1 cm) in the left side of dialogue balloon and does not affect lettering or art.    See scan.  Any yellowing along the edges is an artifact of the scan.  Scotch tape on page number at bottom.  "Joe Sinnott 1989" signed in ink on the back of art.

$4900 $4000 shipped SOLD! (Continental US) FedEx Priority w/ sig. req. CONUS.  Buyer will pay for full insurance if desired.  Art will ship sandwiched between 2 pieces of masonite or in a sturdy FedEx poster/artwork box.

  11. SOLD! Xenozoic Tales #6 pg 7 "Green Air" 1988 -  Mark Schultz pencils and inks.  Image size 16¾" X 11¼".
    Remfro Flying with Zekes!  :whee:

Page is white and in great condition. The usual Mark Schultz awesomeness.  Very clean page.  Great use of Zipatone.  Whiteout used only for effect.

Published Xenozoic Tales pages don't come up too often.  Very detailed art by a master.

  12. SOLD! Incredible HULK pin up -  Larry Lieber on pencils and Marie Severin on inks.   Image size 16" X 11",  I don't think this was ever published.

Page is off-white and in great condition. There is  whiteout for lettering corrections in the HULK logo and some very slight whiteout on the artwork.  There's what looks like a red watercolor stain on the back of the page; does not affect the art.
Great inks by Marie; nicely detailed.  A great image by one of the most beloved and finest Hulk silver-age artists along with Marvel mainstay Larry Lieber.

This is clearly not a convention sketch; the 45% notation in the upper right seems to connotate that it was meant for publication at one time.  I'd guess this was produced sometime in the 1970's?
If anybody has any information on this piece, please feel free to comment!

I have no idea how to price this (shrug) so let's see what happens.

There are some pages I have seen where a major artist is listed as the penciller, but in fact the pencils were only breakdowns with usually the inker doing the finishes and the inks. I have seen this in a few cases with John Buscema pages. How much does this change the value vs if the pencils were fully by Buscema or the other artist?

Also should the dealer/auction house state that the pencils were breakdown only? Or is the due diligence the job of the buyer?

    Yes.
