  1. That's one of my favorite parts of going to a comic show: ya never know what the next box will hold!!! The possibilities are always enough to make me want to go!!!
  2. I didn't pull up GPA or anything, but those prices aren't tempting me very much.
  3. Great stack of funny books Doc!!! I've owned the Major Victory and the United States Marines before, but I've never even SEEN this book prior to right now!!!
  4. Ok, back on track November 1966 strong fister to November 1966 to strong sister.
  5. 11/56 double your pleasure to 11/56 double your gun.
  6. It actually CAN be opened ... with a little care!
  7. Well, those are some nice copies and a nice block coming together right there! I like that you posted your goals here! It's fun to watch fellow collectors on their quest!
  8. Shapely assets in deep trouble to shapely assets going out on a limb.
  9. Just to clarify, I'm in no way officially connected to producing the aforementioned pedigree book, but rather hoped to discuss with Matt later this year if there was anything that I or anyone else could do to help expedite the process of seeing its release. As far as format and content suggestions, you can submit those to Matt yourself. My interest is in providing any assistance that I'm able to, NOT in telling the man how to write his own book.
  10. SWEEEET!!! Church "double slash" copy!!! Although some have a few more bumps and bruises from having been bought second hand, from what I've seen, the page whiteness and color strike is pretty much the same!!! Excellent score Doc!!!
  11. I had been thinking the same thing and am hoping that some time can be put toward that later this year.
  12. I was pretty sure I bought a copy of FF #27 in Chicago, and it turns out that I DID, but I didn't get a solo pic of it.
  13. I really dig this issue and never thought it got it's due, but now it's catching up a little bit. I remember when Heritage had the original art to the entire story!!! The splash page was just so cool to see!!!
  14. Sometimes people are aware of the pedigree but they just miss seeing it. At one of our fests (Billy's house that time), I discovered a few in Ricky's collection ... a pair of Frisco's and something else, but I can't recall what it was right now. Once at Ricky's place I discovered that Russ' Terrific #5 was the Big Apple and none of the other 3 guys caught it! Russ was pretty happy about that! I AM a bit of a pedigree geek though and have made a bit of a study of the marking and such. I just love funny books!
  15. That's awesome! I love discovering pedigrees that are as yet unidentified!
  16. My first ever copy of this book. I got it back almost exactly 20 years after I sold it!!!
