  1. Captain Courageous being dipped to Bucky being dipped.
  2. Strange Tales #104 with a lower staple v shaped smaller piece loss to Strange Tales #105 to an upper staple v shaped larger piece loss.
  3. Ok, as for comic book size, issue #35 is the last big size and #36 is the first small size. I know this as I've owned both of them at the same time. I can't remember for sure where the page count changes, but I seem to recall at some point in there, that there are 16 pages to the centerfold and 12 from the centerfold to the back. That is when they had the two very small nub-like partial pages. Then sometime later, the page count decreases even more.
  4. As far as pages, my only raw Caps in that area are #26 & #33, so I'd be able to check those. #33 is the last big fat Schomburg. #36 is the first smaller size Cap.
  5. I need to preface this post by saying that I no longer own this comic! I sent it in for grading and sometime afterward, I sold it. It's the only one I'd ever seen, and I can't remember who I sold it to. It's an incredible Bronze Age cover from a Mexican publisher, so doubtful many have seen it. Once again, I no longer own this, but wanted to share my photo of it.
  6. Also, a point of note: if you pulled the centerfold from the coverless and simply placed in inside the cfo copy for regrading, it'd very likely come back in a qualified green label with a grade above .5.
  7. I would like to present you with yet another option: I would remove the centerfold from the coverless, then shoot high quality color copies of the cover (inside and out) and the centerfold. Have the original centerfold and the centerfold out copy married with slight conservation and certified (or kept raw if you wish), THEN take the color copy covers and color copy centerfold and combine them with the remnant donor copy for a nice little reading copying to enjoy. It would cost you next to nothing to make the color copies and it would add significant value to your remnants. In fact, if YOU have no interest in keeping the remnants, I would be an interested buyer of the cobbled together copy. Just my but another approach if you wish and I seriously WOULD be interested in buying the remnant copy!
  8. No, he's steadfast that Spidey is the best ... and I agree ... it's my very favorite!
  9. My recollection was that it was initially considered a pedigree and then they reversed their decision on that. They must've found out more about its origin. It WAS puzzling that the newest generation holder still had the designation though. Thanks for clearing that up.
  10. Paging @KirbyJack ... KirbyJack please pick up the courtesy phone nearest you.

  14. It's a great way to get into a book that you may have no other way to afford! I'd say my BIGGEST completion was a Detective #28. I bought one missing a centerfold and an hour or so later, FOUND a centerfold for it!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Just goes to show ... ya never know!
