  1. Ok, turns out it was a month later that I upgraded to THIS copy.
  2. I bought this one and then a week or two later was able to upgrade.
  3. I added some books earlier this year that I THOUGHT I had posted here, but I guess not.
  4. February Marvel Mystery Comics to February Marvel Science Stories.
  5. I forgot that when I had this graded, I also had them take pics of it too! Looks WAY better than the crummy one I took!
  6. I haven't seen many either. I suppose they're locked away in collections.
  7. Yours is my favorite story of my personal friends Billy Boy!!! What a MARVELous time to be buying funny books!!!
  8. I just saw that you went for the FF #1! Well done! It's a very big book and not likely to get less expensive! I do have an FF #1 and I'm not interested in selling it.
  9. Just looking at the pics from my phone, hands down I'd go with the certified Avengers #1 and the raw Hulk #2! One to enjoy in the case, one to thumb up! The FF #1 is a big book but that tape staining isn't going to improve with time and may get worse. The coloring on the X-Men #1 is a major turn off for me. Easy choice really. Good luck with your decision!
  10. You were a bit before me in your first selection Jimbo, as mine was Marvel Tales 81 in the Bronze Age. My first newsstand purchases were 30c issues. I can't even imagine how awesome it was buying Spidey issues as they came out in the Silver Age!!! My favorite era in comics!
  11. Spot on brother! However, you've got yourself one very nice looking 4.5 on your hands!
  12. Well, I SUPPOSE that the bound, leashed and gagged damsel DID catch my eye, but merely out of curiosity to discover if she was indeed rescued from her predicament ... and someday I plan to move beyond the cover and actually read the story to find out!
  13. Thanks so much! I never thought I'd even see one that nice, let alone have a chance to bid on one.
  14. Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised to find it in a local shop that doesn't exactly specialize in having those types of books in stock.
  15. I don't think I posted this one here. A local comic shop purchase.
  16. Semi recently reacquired from the friend I sold it to a little over 20 years ago, I decided to get it graded.
  17. Back from CGC a few months ago. Out of a blue 3.0 PGX holder, now in a shiny CGC holder!
  18. Picked this lil raw copy up at a show a few months ago.
