  1. Cool, Jon's old copy of the "JAILBREAK" cover! Those are 2 great ones to start with! This 19 will be my only copy at present, as when a buddy started building the run, I sold him the few that I had, including the Larson #15 which I have first rights of refusal on if he should upgrade (it's got some work on it). I'll be watching to see if our host on this thread puts any more up!
  2. Great score Bounty! A friend and I were BOTH on the fence about that book! I only resisted because I already claimed the 19 and have a show coming up. That's a great one!
  3. Thanks Ray!!! It's a favorite of mine! Just so early and cool!!! Kirby drew a GREAT cover!!!
  4. Without referencing GPA, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your copy is worth a LOT!!!!
  5. Captain America with blonde shackled to a plank to Captain America with blonde chained to plank.
  6. Oh I know, I about flipped when I saw the title and date stamp! As far as I know, this is the earliest known surviving page. The artwork for the text story in Detective #11 is out there, but that book is cover dated Jan 1938 & appears to have hit the newsstands 12/30/37. The Star Ranger #2 is cover dated April 1937 and was apparently on the stands 3/10/37. The Detective #11 is signed "Creig Flessel Algiers 1937", but no specific date is noted. Being on the stands 9 months prior to the Detective, I'd guess that the Star Ranger was done quite a bit in advance of the Detective art. I'd love to own that Detective piece!!!
  7. Thank you so much RHG! Coming from a collector with the collection YOU have, that means quite a lot!
  8. My upgraded copy isn't terribly fancy, but I'm happy enough with it for it to be my keeper.
  9. With prices exploding on this book, I'm glad I hung on to this coverless copy when I upgraded!
  10. Finding THIS will prove to be a challenge Billy! It's issue #69
