Incidentally gang, I DO believe that this is the first house ad for the Fantastic Four. I also recall this being the only house ad I've seen for our beloved PHM books. Does anyone here know either of those statements to be inaccurate? I will search through my raw copies sometime in the future to try to verify that as best I can.

I have NONE of the runs complete. I sold off most of the copies I had in the mid to late 90s to pursue Golden Age. It's actually VERY recently that I've gotten back into this area of collecting. I don't even want to discuss what I sold back in the day. Suffice it to say that some of those books are likely in the upper grades that exist area. It seems to me that within the last few months, people are starting to ask a LOT more for nice quality books in this genre. It's interesting to see which books are difficult to find in grade, using the census as a indicator. I collect both raw and certified copies, as I like to have a reader copy too. Makes it more expensive, but it's just so much fun to read them!!!

Someone might've needed that corner for their chewing gum. Still a great reader though! It's nice to have some books you can pass around without any worry about having its grade lowered. Just beware of anyone looking for a place to dispose of their chewing gum!!!!

I've been on a Strange Tales tear lately. I have plenty of raw copies in a variety of grades ..... lower grades, but a variety OF them!

I recently snagged this copy.

Definitely a good price! I wish I could add it to my registry set, but oddly, there's no slot for it!!! It also doesn't show up on the census either, because it was recently graded and they must not have caught up on updating it yet. So, when they DO catch up, it should be the only graded copy.

Yup, Kirby & Ditko had their hands full for sure! Some slam Lieber and Heck art but I don't. They both made some great contributions to our beloved Marvel and while they aren't Kirby, that's ok .... because we already had a Kirby. I've never seen anything from either of them that I'd call "bad" or even approaching that. I've heard several comic collectors slam Ditko over the years too and I guess it just comes down to personal preference. I'm happy to have all that we have!

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't put much focus on my Atlas Jungle books as of late. Grabbed that one though!
