  1. When you see the grade and think, "Technical schmecnical, this is a beauty!" Jumpy colors on this one too!!!
  2. It's one thing to get very vivid colors on a raw book, but when they jump out at you thru a few layers of plastic ...
  3. That's one book I got lucky finding. I'm not a specific grade collector, just usually the nicest copy that makes the most sense.
  4. I was happy to upgrade and just set my under copy aside. I'll probably list it in a sales thread in the future, but I had considered cracking it out.
  5. A book I bought a number of years ago, this is another instance where I just snapped a quick pic with my phone, nothing at all fancy ... and the colors really shine thru. Also, this is very clearly unpressed.
  6. This book came out of an original owner collection that came to market late last year. The colors on this copy are amazing and it has bright white pages! This is just a pic I grabbed with my phone ... nothing at all fancy, and you can see how brilliant the colors are. They're even better in person!
  7. There's just something about that brown they used ... and I DO really love this cover! I think it's one that kinda goes unnoticed.
  8. January Charlton Wyatt Earp to January Atlas Wyatt Earp.
  9. SO many incredible books you've posted Ricky, but THIS one is a personal favorite!!!
  10. Of COURSE you haven't, why would you have? Made me chuckle!
  11. Yeah, that's how I remember it, in the back, almost exclusively books, just that short box of comics. I had heard that it sold for a higher price than he quoted me. I found it right away, on my own, then later in the day there was a big buzz between the biggest dealers, which likely escalated the price. I didn't ask to handle it, as I couldn't afford it, but was curious as to the page quality. Do you recall the pq?
  12. No problem. I'm curious, where's your cut-off for Bronze?
  13. Since it's CGC's website, I went with their definition in their glossary which states: BRONZE AGE. CGC Registry term for comics published 1970 through 1984. I used to say thru 1979 but it's not my most collected area, so I yielded to their cut-off designation.
  14. Woman in peril on Space Detective cover to woman in peril on Super Detective cover.
