  1. I've had this one a little while. COOL Bruce Wayne prototype story inside
  2. THIS book came from the GAtor in Chicago
  3. LOVE this book!!! Once again, not the best scan though ....
  4. This scanner I'm dealing with isn't very good, sorry about that, but I LOVE my book
  5. Nice book Cat!!! I've always chuckled about the guy sitting calmly at his desk in the room to the left. CLEARLY not one to get involved with distracting office shenanigans
  6. GREAT cover Jon!!! I'm SO glad you share your collection the way that you do Your comic room must be an art gallery like non other
  7. LOVE it Great grab Gino!!! thanks Captain Courageous!!! ^Oh I'm likin' THAT!!!^ Might have to change my board name now!!!
  8. that really is astonishing!! I have to say I appreciate when a 90 yr old has the dexterity to sign his/her name legibly!! that recreation is just superhuman!! if he was is up to it and enjoys it I would say go for it my friend (thumbs u Thanks buddy, I might just do that!! I also thought about a Marvel Mystery 86 (the only Marvel Mystery cover he drew)!!! That would be expensive AND time consuming, but what an opportunity!!!!
  9. Al Bellman is still alive, but I'm not sure if he did any covers. I met Al a few years ago here in the Twin Cities: VERY nice guy!!! I don't believe he ever drew a cover assignment though ....
  10. Thanks Gino Ken is only remaining Timely cover artist alive (to my knowledge). I should probably ask if he'd do a Namora #3 for me to complete the set
  11. Tough day at work sometimes being a prison guard, but hey .... if they need a hostage, I'd have to volunteer .... for everyone else's safety of course Great pair of books Jack
  12. Both of those recreations are awesome .... yeah they are..... they're almost too cool to really exist. What a crown jewell..... GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Thanks Jimbo!!! Yeah, he really did an amazing job on them
  13. Both of those recreations are awesome Agreed, that's beautiful work!!! Wonderful to get recreated art by the orig. artist. Thanks Cat I was astounded that at 92 years young, he was not only interested in doing this, but that his pencil is just as sharp as ever!!!
  14. Great! I don't see that one much. Where did you find it? Thanks! You're right, it doesn't come up much. I got it from a good friend
  15. Love these books, dawn of the comicbook as we know it, Me too Jack (thumbs u I've got a little pile of them & they're fun. not too expensive & show a cool snapshot of the time period. I agree they are a great backbone series of the dawn of comicbooks.... He is a smattering of early numbers.......many had different cover for back cover.....neat and inexpensive books.......jb Like you and Jimbo, I love those early Famous Funnies. I tried for years to complete them all, but was never able to do it. The #1 eluded me and eventually I tired of the quest. I will admit Billbo, there's a certain ........ serenity that comes from just buying what comes my way & not trying to complete the run. Ideally it'd be fun to have a complete set, but I could say that about nearly every comic title I'm with you Jimbo. I'm doing a little of both now. Some runs I don't want all of the books. Others I do. We're fishin' the same pond my friend
