  1. Wow! That's a really nice book with fantastic art! That Shomburg was a real genius and your book proves it! Thanks very much Steven!!! This is one of my favorites!!! The eight larger sized Caps Schomburg did are all classics to me!!! Schomburg and Barks are my favorite GA artists for basically the same reason: attention to detail! IMO, there are very few artists of the period that could stack so much into so little space. Lots of bang for the buck! I couldn't agree more!!! I would also add L.B. Cole to my list of cover artists that give lots of bang for the buck (thumbs u
  2. GREAT book!!! Hard to obtain a copy of this one (I still need one), unless you want to pay at least double guide regardless of grade (just shootin' from the hip, I've not done actual research on this). This issue is where the covers start getting really good!!! Well done sir (thumbs u Thanks! I lucked into this one. I saw that it could be undergraded and bid agressively, considering the stated grade. When I got it back from CGC Your 4 leaf clover paid off It's a fantastic Schomburg agreed; aw 7 a great book. this 'un is my fave all winners cover. Very nice Billy!!! It'd go great with my CGC 6.0 Blue c/ow All Winners #10 (sorry, no scan yet)!!!

  10. Great readers Frisco! (thumbs u Thanks!! If I could afford it, I'd have a reader copy for every nice grade slabbed copy I have!!! I know, some people think that that's
  11. My reader copy of Cap 34. This is actually in for some work right now. Yes, you read that right ..... I'm having some "work" done to the book. You see, I purchased it missing two centerfolds and I just so happened to have a coverless missing an outerwrap copy. The cover was also loose on this copy. I'm having the centerfolds added and having the cover attached. I'll end up having a very presentable, slightly restored reader copy and I'm thrilled to no end about it!!!! Restored book are great to have as long as the price is right and you know it's restored up front!!!
  12. My low grade Cap 30 before CGC submit. It came back a blue 1.5 due to taped spine.
  13. I couldn't agree more Billy-boy!!! I can't imagine why in the world Everett didn't get the cover assignments for the whole run!!!!! Check out the splash page from Subby 39 I posted in the "You've seen the covers" thread. Everett drew Subby the best!!! Then Schomburg. Just my opinion. I think Schomburg's Human Torch and Caps are the best but Subby was Everett's creation and no one drew him better. I agree. I love Schomburg's Cap and Torch, as well as his Subby too. Schomburg Cap covers (especially before they get small) are my favorites Sweet Subby 33 by the way (thumbs u

I just now noticed that you just posted your whole Subby run in the past couple of days Billy-boy!!! WOW!!! THAT is something my friend. I wanna look at them in 3 weeks

  16. Thanks David!! Let me tell ya, you've been posting some BOOKS my friend!!! Red Raven You coulda slapped me baldheaded when I saw that and I wouldn't have even FELT it
  17. Although not an actual Timely, I still wanna post this Atlas Subby in this thread due to the fact that this run started as a Timely and this is probably the place where this book will get the most love. I sold most of my Atlas superhero books, but just can't seem to part with this one. Great Everett cover!!!
  18. FANTASTIC work West!!! I can't tell you how helpful this list is!!! I'm positive there are more out there and when I can give you exact issue numbers, I will. This may take me some time, but I WILL have some info for this list in the future (thumbs u
  19. Beerbolm has many books listed as Tom Reily books. Unfortunately most of them look really wrong. Some are brittle, some have color touch and most show none of the correct arrival dates or stamps. Only 1 of them looks correct & I added it to the list a while back. Are you thinking that the Captain Midnight 25 may be a Reilly book West?? It's possible, but it's odd to me that the date stamp is the same date as the cover date of issue. It's certainly possible that it is a Reilly though. Check out the Bat 21 that he's selling as a Reilly. I'm inclined to believe the one posted here a day or two ago is the actual Frisco I should probably clarify that the reason the date stamp (arrival date) seems odd to me, is that most Reilly's that I've seen that have an arrival date stamp, the date stamp is usually 2 months prior to the cover date. In point of fact, I think pretty much every such book posted in this thread supports that theory. I'm no expert, by any means, but I've yet to see a Reilly book where the arrival date stamp and cover date match.
