  3. Considering selling a couple of items, not high end published stuff, but maybe items that don’t crop up often enough to have something to compare with. How do you come up with a target price ?
  4. Looking for a guide to the pros and cons of selling through heritage, and the actual mechanics of using them if anyone can help ? wht do I need to know before approaching them ? Signed by Mignola in the image area. In Excellent condition.” on Kevin Nowlan’s blog he says “The pencils for this piece were lost, even before I was asked to ink it, so Marvel had me work over an 11x17" copy. I really like the way Mike drew the dead guy in the lower left corner.” https://kevinnowlan.blogspot.com/2010/04/strikeforce-morituri-21-cover-inks-over.html Who is correct, Heritage or Kevin “
  8. It contains a full figure piece which looks similar but is not the same piece of art
  9. Mike “ Pretty sure that's fake. It's way too clean. And what are those floating lines--On the left side, left of his arm and over his shoulder? You might see something like that in pencil or on a very rough sketch but not on a finished piece.” https://www.facebook.com/groups/121664335173788/
  10. Mike confirmed that this piece sold for $1501 is a fake https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/mike-mignola-hellboy-illustration-original-art-undated-/a/7224-95293.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
  11. The Byrne piece was not a freebie. I was already in his que for a montage, he extended the size of the piece for no extra charge, which was very much appreciated
  12. Sigh. ?You really think so ? And you automatically assume that myself and the 3 others were being difficult patrons ? Nice
  13. For the first couple of years after, I would get Lots of emails from people in the same boat asking for advice. The only advice I had was not to keep things like this secret, collectors keep things like this close to their chest for the most part.
  14. One was the Micronauts, one had Dracula and a couple other characters, and I can’t remember the fourth. I think one got a new piece and the other 2 refunds.
  15. Our case would maybe have had more impact with the 4, but I respect their decision not to show
  16. yes indeed, all had the" virue" message and all had the characters with their backs to the viewer. In the final statement at the time, the other 3 collectors at the name were mentioned, but declined to show their art.
  17. i sold it to a collector in England. There were 4 of us who got Virue pieces . . one was actually not too bad, the other 2 were just as offensive, if not more so. I was the only one who chose to show mine.
  18. 3 mignola pieces, a cover, a splash page and an unpublished piece all sold for the same price $7800. Is that unusual ?
  19. This one really annoyed me. Walter did a really nice sketch for me as part of this. Hoveke never sent it or my copy of the comic. I got a pdf of the book. He’s never replied to any emails
