  1. You are already too late. No, I kid, but I would probably sell now. Regardless of what happens with the movie there will likely be a dip after it is out of theater. Then you buy it back and hope for a bigger appearance in a sequel.
  2. Interesting mix of sports teams you follow. Do you move a lot?
  3. I like how the Guv knew just where to go to find Andrea. Why she didnt just run into the brush instead of going into a building with zombies is insane. It looked like the Guv was backed into a corner and surrounded when Andrea went up the stairs. Why didn't she take his truck?
  4. Fall of the Mutants for me. Still bought Uncanny until 320 or so, didn't really get into anything after FOM except the Bishop introduction.

Picked up another set of nice books from Ed.
  6. Thank you delekkerste for this recommendation! Ready Player One was everything you say, and then some. Pure fun, great characters, and an ultra-cool adventure. On one of the Quest "puzzles", I read right past it, moving along... Not even thinking, an answer just popped into my mind from nowhere. Later on, when the solution was revealed, it made me feel extra-nerdy (and old) that I somehow guessed right. Anyway, thanks again. It was a real treat. (thumbs u I wish I had never read that book, so I could go back and read it again for the first time. Anyone who grew up in the late 70s or early 80s flat out needs to get it. So good. Right now I am working my way through DarkMarket, an account of how credit card crackers/hackers made millions of dollars with cutting edge cybercrime. Also reading The Monster Show, an overview of horror in cinema, and Cavalier and Clay, because I couldn't bear to look at myself in the mirror anymore as a comic collector who hadn't read it. This post intrigued me. Bought and just read chapter one of Ready Player One. Excellent so far.
  7. Caught up on episode 1 and 2 this weekend. Wife and I are actually enjoying this show. Definitely like it much more than Revolution, I couldn't get into that show.
  8. Sold a few books to Paul in the VCC this October. Good communication and quick payment, can't ask for more. John
  9. I always wondered why they made the figurines though. They were no where near the scale of the vehicles. The vehicles were awesome, especially the Star Trek fleets.
  10. Make all passwords unique That is a fine thought, however, most people need and use passwords for a dozen or more things. How many things do you need one for, and how many passwords do you have? I don't need my mind filled up with extra crap. I hear you there and and the last time I counted including my work passwords for my office computer, discipline, payroll, longshoremen's ratings, our production site, a site for what's in containers and their yard locations, my two banks, ebay, paypal and all the different dealer's and auction house sites I have over thirty passwords I use. Thanks to that rotten bastich Osama Bin Laden with the crabs nibbling on his rotting body our industry has gone security crazy and I'm getting old and the memory is the first to go. My home computers are covered with yellow stickies with over half of them and I keep a list of all the others I need in my desk at work. Our work requires us to change passwords every 30 days on most sites and 60 days on other sites and my imagination is only so creative. Comic book characters, fighter planes and attack helicopters is my main source of work related passwords. actually what I've started doing, and this might end up giving away too much, is using the same password for everything. sort of. but different. and I guess people could catch on...but at least its different and still easy for me to remember. lets say my password is "BOSCO" ebay password: ebayBOSCO paypal password: paypalBOSCO cgc password: cgcBosco work password: workBOSCO bank password: bankBOSCO you get the point. if you want to get more original, you can put it in the middle "BOSpaypalCO", or write the descriptive words backwards. In most cases the slightest deterrent will keep someone from stealing your info. I suggest giving Lastpass a try, https://lastpass.com/
  11. Seeing as she may be a he, who also was once in some other shady or (damp) scandal, maybe reconsider the vote
  12. 30 days, m'man. I bet you'll be getting your comics. This is true, unless there is an urgent issue with Dale, you will get your books shortly.
  13. So, we know he is a shill and banned member yet he is still posting? Why isn't this account also banned?
  14. I'd suggest you edit the PL in the other list with primeinvestibles re-added to the list until this gets sorted out. Wasn't that aspect a done deal when discussed? I think she took herself off when adding Firefly. I don't think the nominations are comparable, the first nomination was valid & added while this adjustment to the list by a PL nominee (primeinvestibles)stating someone was lying is pretty ridiculous - she got paid, what's she got to nominate someone on other than spite?? WTF?!! So she Added Firefly AND removed herself from the Probation list without discussing the matter at all? Just unilaterally did that? All on her own? Didn't ask anyone? What a complete and utter display of disrespect for the way this board operates. She's obviously never seen what happens when someone does something shady, underhanded and disrespectful on these boards. If she did, she would not have pull this kind of wildly_fanciful_statement. Hubris!!! Had I known it was a girl, I probably wouldn't have called her an azz in her FS thread. However, this is totally rediculous. Girls can be azzes sometimes also Mike
  15. I had this! None of my friends seem to remember it but it was so cool.
  16. That is plain sad that someone made a complaint about books they won in a charity auction.
  17. Another great deal completed with Frank! Some quality X-men upgrades.
  18. This is only 1 of a few reasons I haven't and wouldn't bother with Pedigree Auctions.
  19. When I wonder, hey is this comic high grade, I go here. And if I find it there I know it is high grade.
  20. I dont recall this list but dont see how spider-man could be #5. Surely heroes like Sasquatch, Colossus and Hercules are stronger than Spider-man.
  21. This is silly everyone knows Hulk is strongest there is!
