More Marvel Bullpen pics:

And here are some inside pages showing pics of some of the members of the infamous "Marvel Bullpen". I've circled some of the more familiar names of the writers and artists.

Here's an inside page of Stan Lee welcoming everyone to the convention. Boy, did he look a lot younger then (almost 34 years ago).

I recently picked up a Strange Tales #86 from an eBay seller and also noticed he had something else interesting for sale (which I obviously bought). It's basically a magazine titled "Welcome to the First.... Mighty Marvel Comic Convention. It was apparently held at the Hotel Commodore in New York on March 22nd, 23rd and 24th in 1975.
I got it pretty cheap (less than $10) and thought it was a great piece of Marvel history. I'll post more pics here in a few minutes including a pic of a young Stan Lee, pics of the infamous "Marvel Bullpen" and a back cover scan of the Hulk.

Yesterday I was in a local book store and purchased a variety of comics there:
1) A 30 cent price variant Captain America #198
2) 4 Whitman/DC variant issues (Action #483 & 502, Justice League #171, Wonder Woman #258)
3) A number of other Wonder Woman issues
4) A few other misc. comics.
While I was grading the Wonder Woman comics, I opened the cover to the #205 issue to get the year published. Lo and behold! Look what I found!
The outside cover is only about a 6.0 but the inside cover is about an 8.5. Does anybody know if there are any other Wonder Woman #205 double cover issues out there? GPA doesn't show any sold anyway and I don't think the CGC census even denotes double covers.

Reading a pile of Swamp Things on Christmas Day as you do.... I found my first double cover - what a thrill!
Abby & Swamp Thing look appropriately shocked!
You should be proud. You're no longer a double cover virgin!
