If my shirt has wrinkles and I iron it, it's still completely original. I'm just maintaining it. -

I have this book on consignment from a local collector. Fresh back from CGC about a week ago. Page 12 is missing but it does not affect the story. Also has a couple of staples added. Last 2 GPA sales for a 0.5 incomplete are $1,200 and $1,500. Asking price is down the middle at $1,349.00. Mike

I'm actually glad you posted this. I, like a lot of others in here, used to use Photobucket to import comic scans into the old chatboards. With the change to a direct importing of photos/scans, I no longer saw the need to keep my Photobucket account. I'll have to refresh the scans in my previous posts in here.

Sweet!

Bought it from a local collector I know. Paid $30 for it. And thanks.

Thanks for the clarification.

All of the variables with these 2nd and 3rd printings of Marvel Milestone Editions was driving me nuts so I compiled an Excel spreadsheet showing the different characteristics of both the 1st printings and the 2nd & 3rd printings. An image copy of that file is attached. Note that there are both Direct and Newsstand Editions of these 1st printings as well. As the spreadsheet clearly shows, there's a big difference between the X-Men #1 copy I posted about above and the 1st printing. I don't know whether it's a 2nd print or a 3rd print but it is clearly not a 1st print.

Looks like I need to do some further investigation as to exactly what it is that I have then. It's definitely not a 1st printing as it has a 1993 date. Maybe a 3rd printing??

Will the real JC Penney Vintage Pack Marvel Milestone Edition X-Men #1 please stand up?
-
The Wallace Brown Inc. full page ad - same as the 1991 version.
-
I'm 99% sure this is the JC Penney Vintage Pack 2nd printing of Marvel Milestone Edition X-Men #1. It has the regular non-slick interior pages, the interior pages are numbered and the cover is a darker gray as stated in the STLComics blog. It also has the 1993 date at the bottom of page 1 instead of the 1991 date.

Best thing to do is to find a local authorized CGC member dealer. What city & state do you live in? -
Right on cue, somebody on eBay from Canada just posted 4 copies of that 3rd printing you were talking about. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-Beyond-Origin-Scarce-3rd-Printing-July-2000-Undervalued-Very-HTF/292389777862?hash=item4413c9f1c6:g:3I0AAOSwCMFZ5qrj Looks like they were printed in July 2000 and don't have the blank block or UPC block.

I was just perusing my various copies of Batman Beyond #1 from 1999 when I noticed something. There's the regular direct edition #1 from March 1999, the free Special Origin Issue (blank block) from June 1999 and the Special Origin Issue Six Flags variant from October 1999. But then I noticed that one of my Six Flags variants had a June 1999 date instead of Oct. 1999. So did Six Flags do 2 different releases? Overstreet and Grand Comics Database are no help at all. And a subject search in here was no help either.

No interest in here so all books are being moved to eBay.
