  1. Sorry, I meant #26. It was #24 the last time this happened
  2. I don’t see a thread about Registry issues so I’ll post this here (move to wherever appropriate if I’m in error). A user named JohnDubb added a bunch of comics to his Bone (Cartoon Books) set and it looks like he tried to get his Cartoon Books #24 into the issue 24 slot. Well, the Cartoon Books #24 is a second print and everyone who had the first print #24 from Image Comics had theirs removed from their sets when the change was made. The Cartoon Books #24 should only be added to the Bone (Cartoon/Image) All Variants set and the Image #24 should be in the first print Bone (Cartoon Books) set. Please correct when you get a chance and thanks!
  3. Anyone see the 9.8 Signature Series of a second print #1 on ComicLink last night? Went for $2100 I’ve never had an interest in collecting the different colored logos but I had an inkling that this may go big since it’s the only one on the census…but certainly not that big.
  4. And this would be awful and put CGC on the same level as CBCS. I realize people really want to put their green labels in yellow but the Signature Series brand would effectively be destroyed. No one wants to squint to figure out if what they’re looking is witnessed or verified.
  5. I’m starting to get nervous about this. Not that I buy a ton of CBCS slabs, but the way they use the same label color for witnessed and verified sigs is terrible.
  6. A fellow board member reminded me that there’s some great examples of Jeff Smith art on CAF that many of you should check out, as well as some alternative artists who’ve given their shot at Bone illustrations. Many of them are convention sketches but there are also some finished pieces that I’m hoping will get a few more likes and comments such as Fone Bone Waving the Flag of Freedom, Jeff’s Busted cover, an unpublished Bone Tribute cover, a Trilogy Tour cover, and the Complete Bone Adventures #3 cover art, which @CoinAddict has shown previously in this thread. Give them a look if you can and please make comments!
  7. That’s good news! I’m guessing the change will be reflected in the next census update (ten 9.8s are still showing). The other certification numbers will eventually surface and, hopefully, someone in this thread will let you guys know if they’re legit or not
  8. If you’ve read the entire Thorn Kickstarter book, you’ll know that this piece of OA will forever be referred to as the Rosetta Stone, coined by Jeff himself. He gave it a full two pages in the back section of the book right after the Thorn strips conclude. It truly is a momentous piece of Bone history and thanks again to the collector for letting us see it
  9. No problem. The four above are the only ones that need to be taken off at the moment. Will let you know if I find the others.
  10. This one was already taken off the census if you were meaning to add this to my list.
  11. Thanks Mike. Do you or the database specialist have the certification numbers for the other six “Second Print/Blue Foil Edition” 9.8s that were added over the last two months?
  12. Hey @CGC Mike, I have a few more teals that were marked as blue foil editions. All of these have pics attached to their verification on the CGC website so please back me up on these @RockMyAmadeus. 4386556011 4386556012 4386556013 4386556014 4386556015 (already marked as just a second print) Thanks!
  13. By the way…congrats to @Aaroncash for taking over #1 in the Bone (Cartoon Books) registry set! That 9.8 #1 of his was a worthy book to put him over the top. DocGo’s reign of terror is finally over
  14. That’s the big question. If they use yellow with only a written notification of a “verified signature”…let’s just say I’ll be upset. Orange seems like a good option.
  15. The yellow label has become a brand to me. It means that this signature was witnessed and there’s no doubt it’s real. A single letter on a predominantly yellow label is not enough of a distinction to me and would undoubtedly create confusion in the market place. Unless these books also have a witnessed signature on them, the color has to be a different color. Still praying that this will be the case.
  16. Very glad to hear you enjoyed it. I screenshotted all the strips during the pandemic and read them all in one sitting (had a lot of time on my hands ). I’m glad no one will have to do this ever again
  17. I know some of you purchased one or both of the OA tiers for the Thorn Kickstarter campaign and this was posted on Boneville.com and all their social media accounts: I’m not an OA expert but it doesn’t look like Jeff lightboxed any of these which is obviously a good thing. I think everyone will be pleased
  18. Those guys should probably read the book. They may be surprised.
  19. This does look great, thanks for posting! For everyone who has signed stuff in their rewards, the wait will be a bit longer. Hold tight!
  20. Would CGC make money by devaluing their own Signature Series yellow label? I think the opposite is true in the long run. I’m guessing that CGC makes more from SS than any of their other levels and an authentication service would only be a fraction of that take. Giving the two services the same colored label doesn’t seem logical to me.
  21. I completely disagree with this. A little note on the label that says “authenticated” against a yellow background isn’t nearly enough and will create confusion. If only an “authenticated” signature exists on a book, the entire label should be a different color. The SS service needs to be distinct.
  22. I’ve said this a few times already but I’ll keep saying it until we get the news in April: CGC, please do not give authenticated books the same yellow label as witnessed books! I have a good amount of qualified books like many of you but there is a HUGE difference between authentication and witnessing. I’m praying CGC realizes this and doesn’t cannibalize their own Signature Series program
  23. To me, the yellow label signifies “witnessed signature”. I understand your thoughts on the Daredevil book (not to mention green labels) but there is no way it “deserves” a yellow label since it wasn’t witnessed by a CGC rep. Giving “authenticated” signatures the same colored label with just a written notation would not only downgrade the significance of the Signature Series program but also create confusion in the market. I’ve been a fan of SS for over 17 years now and that would surely end if they gave books with “authenticated signatures” the same label color. I’m fairly certain CGC wouldn't do this but the possibility makes me a tad nervous. I don’t think I’m alone.
  24. That’s a nice book but why would it “deserve” a yellow label?
  25. It will be a deal breaker if they don’t differentiate the label.
