  1. My slabs are making progress, in the wrong direction. LOL. @PaulS. I want a refund on this shipping. CGC should get a refund for this as well. FedEx needs to be held accountable for not delivering packages. Weeks late and still no delivery is ridiculous. Los Banos was 45 minutes from my house. I called FedEx and told them to hold it so I could pick it up. They told me that it is out for delivery the next day and wouldn't hold it. A week later the package is up north way far away. When it was in Los Banos it was already a week late at that point. Getting a little bit above the "mad" level.
  2. I think FedEx is using my CGC package as a prop to a new travel vlog series or something. It has hit 5 states and 11 different cities and no sign of stopping. They deleted my supposed delivery date and updated it to pending. LOL. Sad.
  3. After waiting forever to get my cards back, they finally ship and now FedEx is messing with me. Tell me if you can find the stupidity in the logistics below. This is insane. My last shipment was 2 1/2 weeks late. LOL. Can't catch a break. FedEx is so messed up right now any company that uses them is going to start losing business. They can't get people's packages to them within a reasonable amount of time. I know CGC can be Empathetic to FedEx, but it is going to start hurting companies that use their service.
  4. It is not about rationale; rather, it is about profit and marketing. They know people are willing to pay for the comfort of knowing why their card was graded a 9. It is kind of mean when you think about it. We pay them to grade the card and then they extort more money if we want to know why the card was given a certain grade. As if paying them for a quality evaluation and waiting a year isn't enough.
  5. It seems like the card was graded awhile ago if we look at the serial number. They are in the 60millions now. When did they stop taking qualifier subs?
  6. Bro, I would call accounting and see if they have you on hold for some payment issue. I called back in June and prepaid so that I wouldn't have any hold ups or card issues. But a lot of people have been having billing issues and CGC wont reach out to you about it. You have to call them to make sure.
  7. Anyone know how long this stage takes? I've never been kicked back to grading / qc after being finalized.
  8. I wonder why they didn't get PSA to establish an OC indicator. Maybe it didn't meet PSA requirements for OC. Seems like an OC error, especially with the cut mark.
  9. I am only speaking on the forum and the role he played here. I don't doubt that he shines at managing product development. As a business owner myself, I would never give my production manager the responsibility of keeping up with our website and it's social forums. Paul should probably stay in P.D. They need to hire a information specialist that is the fly on the wall in all important meetings so they can pass on crucial information to people like us and all other employees.
  10. Paul? His cover was blown with the coined "glitch" situation. His role was pointless and he didn't have one ounce of info to hand down to us. He is was very good at yes or no questions. "Hey Paul, you guys grade DBS?" / "No." / Hey Paul, you guys open Sunday?" / "No." Beyond that, you might as well go ask a wall for answers. Atleast the wall doesn't make up answers like, "it's a glitch, yeah." I don't think it was Paul's fault. The company doesn't have a good flow of information from top to bottom, or anywhere. (We still love you Paul).
  11. I am stuck in the same loop. Have you had any movement since it went into Grading/QC?
  12. I don't even remember what I ate for dinner last night. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! lol. Thanks for the great breakdown. Gives us all an idea of true turnaround times.
  13. Be thou not weak, for thy encapsultor is near, and shall bring down upon thy slab with mighty force a sealing of financial goodness upon thy cards. And the photographer will then take upon thy yoke and deliver imagery into thy submission file. Fear not fellow submitter the end is nye.
  14. Whether you got your cards in before or after the TAT update it does not matter. Their Turn Around Times have never stood for anything. It is just eye candy for possible submitters. If we actually saw the data and ran some simple statistics on turn around times, I am sure we would find that the outliers are actually those that got their cards back within the stated TAT or before.
  15. BIG FAT NOTHING BURGER RIGHT THERE!! Check the website often. CGC now stands for, Check, Go Check!
  16. I think we are all buying cards in 6 months. When we pay CGC to get our cards back.
  17. They probably have a second quality control look at the card after it is encapsulated to ensure no mistakes before shipment. PSA does it and CGC most likely does it as well, as the process shows.
  18. Look at it this way. The value of a raw card is determined by people. Usually, the rarity is the justification people use in attaching a value to a certain card. In theory, if CGC grades millions of cards but only passes 1% off as 10's, then at that point any CGC 10 should be considered an EPIC rare card, or hyper rare, or ultra rare, or whatever you want to call it. The raw value goes out the window at that point and it becomes a separate tier of value determination. It is no longer a simple multiplier of raw value. LOL my original post was a joke, but now that I am thinking about more; the future is in commons ya'll. LOL.
  19. At that point I would be on the hunt for a pristine card, any card, just to finally get a 10. I'd be looking through my bulk searching high and low for the perfect 10. If it is that hard to get a pristine card, why not just collect pristine cards. Seems like they are going to be the rarest of the rare. I mean, who cares about your CGC 9 Crystal Charizard, I have a CGC 10 Krabby from Sword and Shield Base.
  20. I did look at that once and it never made sense to me. It doesn't talk about the scheduled date of grading. It says your cards have been received and processed and when we finish the person ahead of you it will be your turn. The name of the category doesn't make sense to me. "Waiting to be Graded" would be more accurate and correct. There is no scheduling in a first come first serve business model. I don't think you understood what I was saying. It is a lame name for that part of the complete through process. Quite insignificant. They would be better off calling it ID and Verification. That is exactly what they are describing.
  21. Technically, the day submissions are received they are scheduled for grading. I never understood the tier as it was. It was kind of lame. What does it mean? When my past cards went into scheduled for grading they didn't send me a confirmed scheduled date. I guess what I am trying to say is, there is no difference between "received" and "Scheduled for grading" as they both sit doing nothing while in these tiers. Just a reminder tier that they got your cards and that you paid to have them graded. LOL.
  22. Paul came out and said, "it is a glitch." but that was just piggy backin' off of someone's assumption. Paul can say anything to us at anytime. I am talking about an official release from the company. It would take them literally two hours to write something up and post it on the site. But they have been quiet about it. Seems kind of suspicious to me. They are not letting us know what is going on. If this is a "glitch" it is a huge one and needs to be taken care of asap or at least addressed. It all seems weird to me.
  23. Who said it was a glitch? Seems like a glitch is the perfect word to avoid blame. Was it a HACK? It seems to me that hacks are far more difficult to fix. Seems like a glitch would be easy to fix. Unless it wasn't a glitch.I think someone messed with CGC and they are not being transparent about it. Why else would they play hush hush. Seems like they would be saying something if it was a simple glitch. Also, what if they were intentionally holding submissions back to seem overwhelmed in order to justify a price increase. A threshold could have been reached where they had to update the real status of our cards. Just brainstorming for fun. LOL
