  1. I also have a Portfolio. Sadly the enveloppe is creased/stained on a side. I don't know the actual condition of what's inside, don't want to mess up the seal.
  2. Thanks! Good to know, I wasn't sure if it could hurt the value. The backs also have ink spots/smudges, they were probably piled up right after signature/numbering. Up until a few days ago, I wasn't even aware of the differents colors/numbers combinations... I was sure all #1s were blue, #2s yellow, etc. Didn't even know up to which issue there was. Those are probably the most "desirable"/"valuable" comics I still own (across all titles). I have other good pieces: I once attended a ComicCon in Montreal where Sam Kieth met fans and signed art, and got a few issues and trading cards signed (Maxx #1 to #19, 1/2, #1 GITD, Darker Image #1, among others). I place the date around 1995 because that's when #19 was published. Sadly I was a super shy teen and had pretty basic English skills at the time (I'm French Canadian), so we couldn't quite talk... But I remember him as a very humble and simple person.
  3. Hey all! New on the forum, haven't been in the comics scene since... well, 20+ years! I was a big Kieth fan, especially the Maxx, I have the whole series plus a few related issues and trading cards... I unboxed my collection a few days ago and look what I've found. Totally forgot about them, in fact I didn't even know they could have some value - neither did everything else from this era. Are all ashcans so badly assembled? It seems my Blue pages aren't trimmed flush at all, looks more like a bootleg product than a legit one.
  4. Hi from Canada! I used to be into a few series back in the late 1990s, I've hold onto some of them out of sentimental value and thinking they wouldn't be worth much anyways. I recently began to research about their value and was quite surprised. I may consider grading some, still trying to know if it would be worth it - I consider myself more of a reader than a collector (though I sometimes got out of my way to get special variants, ashcans...), but I've always took good care of them (always went back in bag with cardboard backing after reading, etc). Most haven't been read more than twice, and all haven't even left their boxes in 10+ years. I've browsed and searched the forums and many other websites, I still have some blind spots but I've learned a lot so far.
