Sorry I couldn't resist. Hey if you would have offered 50k I'd deliver it in person.

The Chameleon – tries to blend in as a passionate, diehard collector in order to buy something NFS or at a fellow-hobbyist-discount only to flip or grow tired of the art
Kraven the Hunter – hunts the big game with all-out abandon. Acquires art, stuffs and mounts it on the wall only to turn around and move to fund the next hunt. All about the chase.
Love it!

Not one but two amazing covers. Congrats Malvin!

I've landed multiple five-figure pieces at no cost to me, while paying other collectors well for their pieces and providing many pieces to others at below market value or cost, all the while maintaining honest deals which both sides appreciate. That doesn't add up on the surface, but that's okay
While that sometimes means selling pieces I love and had no intention to move, it also means acquiring much larger pieces I couldn't once afford, and that'll be further evident on my CAF in about a month. There's a lot of assumptions that go on about my process, but those are just that: assumptions
Your process has been interesting to watch. I've never seen anything like it especially all of the custom framing just to part with the pieces a few months later. Crazy stuff but it must be working for you. Looking forward to the next update.

GLTWS?

I think it should be GLWTS. Good luck with the sale.

There are some in this hobby that when they post their art days, I reply with "GLWTS!", to save time. One guy PM'd me, all miffed when I did that. Of course, he still ended up selling the piece.
That's great. I'm going to have to start using that with a certain modern Batman collector. Yes Kyle I'm looking at you.

My grail that I'll never own is the cover to Captain America 286 by Mike Zeck. I'd trade my entire collection for it if it would make it happen.
From what I own, I'd have to go with the Joker splash by Lee Bermejo. It's arguably the most iconic piece by Bermejo and I feel very fortunate to be the caretaker of it as he is one of my favorite artists.

I heard the same thing about a west coast version when I was at Wondercon. I'd love for it to happen.

Jock just posted this on social media:
I thought Jock had sold this cover. I remember asking about it and hearing back that it had already sold.

This is probably going to always be a "it depends" scenario as damage can vary widely. Many of Carlo's Pagulayan's Planet Hulk pages have water/moisture spots from the big tsunami that hit his area many years ago. It didn't stop me from picking up a few pages from those issues due to my extreme appreciation of the story. That said, I know several people that also enjoyed the story but didn't want anything to do with the pages. It also depends on cost - how much is the page discounted due to the damage?
I lucked out getting my Carlo Hulk pages before they could be damaged.

Link doesn't work for me. Has the art been removed already?

If it's who I think it is, I'm sure they'll go public soon with the purchase. I always saw the 50k price as it's not really for sale but that just went out the window.
