Ok boys, hold on to your hats. I went to an auction in SF yesterday that was primarily silver/bronze (original owner) but he apparently liked the horror stuff. I missed out on the Crime Suspenstories lot (still bummed) but picked up plenty. Again, these are all from one collection. I took group shots but can scan individuals as I go. They were advertised as VGish but many are substantially higher grade than that. They are glossy and feel fantastic in hand. Here you go...
and just for fun I picked up this scifi lot...

So I got a bunch of books from my dad and slabbed many of them. I then sold some here on the boards and sold some on ebay. Then I bought some on the boards and on ebay and on many other auction sites, and then I sold some more...and this random bunch of books are the slabs that I happen to possess at the moment. Too many raw ones to post so here ya go.

Nope. His was a 7.5. I don't think he had anything higher than an 8.0 in the collection. I picked this one up on ebay a while back.

Love this one. Don't see it much. Church copy no less.

Really? You're just going to start with that one? Can't start with some a little easier? Wait, not bitter. That's right.
My dad grew up in San Jose, CA and you can see the "SJ" the dealer wrote before the date on many of my dad's books. It's on the STT11
Dan, if it's any consolation, your Dad's book is well loved and will not be flipped or leaving my collection for the conceivable future. It's a special book to me made even better with your Dad's attached history!
Just giving you a hard time bud - I know you love that book. The biggest consolation I have is that I didn't sell this one...although I sure tried. Thank goodness I was asking too much.

My dad grew up in San Jose, CA and you can see the "SJ" the dealer wrote before the date on many of my dad's books. It's on the STT11, the Blue Bolt, and I think you can see it over the first "R" in the TT12. Here it is in one of the books I managed to hang on to. Above the "T" in Terrors.

So I showed up about 6 years ago with a bunch of my dad's old books, many of them PCH. I didn't know much about comics at the time but I did my homework. After researching I had many of them slabbed and sold off quite a few of them. Then a funny thing happened. I started checking the boards for books that were for sale rather than books that were being bought. So I started picking up a few books. Here and there...the boards, eBay, Heritage, CLink, etc. Anyhow, clearly inflow is exceeding outflow at this point. My biggest problem is I don't get to see them often as my wife isn't exactly begging for horror books to be posted around her house, and I'm not sure where to put them all. As of now, storage is in my oldest son's closet - and going into a 13 year old's room to pull out your Weird Chills #1 doesn't go over so well.
In any case, I figure since I started here I may as well post what I've picked up over the years. I don't think it will be anything you all haven't seen before, but always fun nonetheless. The only caveat is that my lame scanner won't take slabs so some of the best ones will just have to wait. Apologies. Oh, and to all of you who bought some of those badazz books a few years ago, I'm not bitter. If it hadn't been for that experience I never would have discovered this whole genre in the first place.
Here's a few in no particular order...I'll post more over the next few days as I get some more time.
This one's a beater but awesome.
Think I cut off the top of this in the scan

Hi guys - don't know a thing about pulps, frankly. Very cool covers though. My dad is a scifi nut who stills gets his Analogs in the mail every month. He only managed to keep a few of his pulps from when he was a kid and here they are. Don't think I've posted this pic before but just thought I'd share.

Not as awesome as this one my friend!

Man, I thought my MT 105 was nice - but this one is stunning. Very sharp.

Electrocution is such a FUN way to go...I know the JIUW isn't technically an electrocution COVER, but the inset will have to do...

Awesome!!! I had been wondering what issue #1 was a reprint of. I had seen 3 and 4 as being reprints of 63 and 64, respectively.
My #2 is a reprint of 61 (yes, just looking for an excuse to show this again ).
Just thought it funny that I only have 4 Planets and 3 of the Canadian versions were just posted.

Hi all - I picked up some SA keys and some EC horror in an auction in SF in early December. I'm having trouble with the pic size - but you get the idea.
