Comichron shows NA sales under 2500 for the last issue (35). The previous issue listed on Comichron was issue 23, which had sales at about 3300. So yeah, this would be a tough one to complete if you wanted the monthlies.

Just bought a complete run on eBay because I don't know if I'll see another collected like that soon (or maybe I will with the buzz around it now...didn't want to take the chance).

By now, it shouldn’t be. Nor be promoted or exploited as such in comics.

I have no problem with it being promoted. It's a good thing to have minority segments of the population feel represented, especially those that are discriminated against. It's all in how it's done. Some ways are heavy handed, some aren't.

Picked on..... I don't see that.

I see people looking at a piece of artwork and thinking to themselves what that art represents.

Art is something that has no function other than to exist for the sake of existence.

Good art and bad art is subjective, but it can also be interpreted.

In the case of Peach Momoko, I view her art as lazy, lackadaisical and uninspired. I sincerely think she has no desire to create within the scope of the medium requested, and instead desires to show contempt for the medium

Which is fine, but call it what it is, a contractual obligation, not good art.

Many artists disenfranchised with the medium have done the same, many many times over the years.

Does it make them "good" or "bad" artists, maybe yes, maybe no. It does speak to their integrity however, because if you are paid for a commission, the absolute least you can do is make an effort to show your ability.

In this case, the ability consists of a 7 year old girl who likes pastel colours.

"Which is fine, but call it what it is, a contractual obligation, not good art."

I'll call it what I please, because it's entirely subjective. You seem to have trouble with that concept.

Cover A is soooooo much better than the 1:25. I grabbed a few cover A's. I just couldn't get myself to spend the money on the 1:25. I may be kicking myself one day, but A was fine for me.

I've been liking a lot of the recent Moon Knight covers. Passed on the 1:25 at the shop I go to solely because of the price and got the A, but snagged it later on. Doubling up on issues is gonna be the death of my wallet. Ha ha.

There's more to comics than mainstream marvel/dc/image crud and who cares about that corporate sh*t anyway? There's so much great stuff being done today outside of that, that I don't know why anyone bothers with any of the marvel/dc sh*t. They are the ones ruining comics not any artists. Just go look at other comics where artists are doing their own stuff and aren't being a slave to some corporation hacking out some stuff as a job. That's the problem.

Because Marvel has some great stuff lately? That being said, I pick up plenty of indie stuff as well.

Just had a bad experience with bad idea comics.  Yesterday morning September 1, 2021I purchased Monster Kill Squad 1 and Pyrate Queen at BEYOND COMICS 18749 N Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 at 10am.  I was the first one in the door and the first one to purchase these books.  I asked for the 2 pins.  I was told they didnt come in yet.  After a pause I noticed the guy wasn't saying anything, so I said well can I get them later.  He said sure just call back and we'll save them for you.  I said ok.

I called this morning September 2, 2021 at approximately 1010 am to inquire about the pins.  I was told someone bought them before you.  I said nah, I was the first in the door amd first to purchase, he said they were purchased through an ON LINE SALE.  I just thanks and hung the phone up.   IM PISSED.  The email I received says the pins were only to be gotten from physically being in the store to purchase the book.  I would like to know why I didnt get the pins from this store if I was the first to make the in store purchase. I pre ordered the from another store.  I called that store and was told the forat person showed up and already got the pins.  I said, but I pre ordered them a few days ago.  He said yea, but I had to physically be here to purchase. I said yea, that's what I thought and that was the end of the conversation.

So there's something shady goin on here and I have no problem blowin this thing up through social media cause I just got screwed.

Does anyone have any recourse I can take.  I've already stated my case to the bad idea contact email.  I played the game by the rules.  And I want my d@%n pins.  I earned em

Yeah, Bad Idea and their shenanigans seem like one big cluster. I buy a few of their books, but I don't go too much out of my way to get them. Too many hoops they want some people to jump through.

Hey guys, hope everyone has been well.

I recently had a CGC order wrap up and ship back to me. I have access to the grades and graders notes but I paid for the high res imaging on this order but am currently unsure how to access that.

Is it a separate portal I need to go through or are the images emailed to me? Thanks for any help!

They'll email them to you. There's a delay though, so maybe expect them in a week or two.

  8. I have my long boxes separated into various categories. I have a lot of Fantastic Four, so there's a category. Same for Hulk. I only put 250 comics in a long box despite there often being extra space. I have a single short box for "books to file" as well. I have over 9,000 books, and it's been working pretty well so far, though my "Marvel - Other" category may need to get split out in the near future. Maybe into "Events" and "Other".
