  1. I have a low grade X-Men #2 that I plan to send in. Part of the back cover is separated in the photo the lower left corner crease is actually a cut. Do CGC insert the piece into the slab or leave it out?
  2. Could be. I haven't had issues with bags/boards orders myself but what you say makes sense.
  3. Sure, thanks but that would seem to only explain why turnaround time estimates will get worse not why books already queued get further delayed. Even huge numbers of submissions should only add to the end of the queue and not interfere with the timing of those already in the queue unless... staff have to be diverted away from grading to processing new submissions which I suspect is what is happening.
  4. Hi I get that there's no guarantees and I'm OK with being patient but it seems that the estimates can be wildly misleading. I submitted a couple of books under the express tier, when I did the estimate was 15 days, sure it soon went to 21 days but when the 21st day actually hit the estimate went up to 39 days... That seems strange to me. I can only think of two possible causes for such a massive error in calculation: 1. staff have left or 2. an influx of higher priority books (i.e. signature series or walkthroughs) have arrived in excess of expectation. Wish CGC and CCS best of luck in reducing the backlog.
  5. Just found this thread... Any Nice House On The Lake spots left?
  6. Hi I submitted several Invincible books for grading. Those boxes are with CGC but not opened yet and CGC have just announced new Invincible custom labels. Is it really impossible to add custom labels to those submissions? Thanks
  7. Thanks. Less about insurance and more about which tier it goes through. Since the price I paid is still in the same tier as the 2013 sale I use what I paid as the declared value. Such a unique book could go for more next year when I get it back graded.
  8. I recently acquired a rare comic (Batman No.1 Japanese Manga from 1966) and plan to submit for grading. I found one sale from 2013 for the book and of course I know what I paid for it but I'm not really sure what the FMV is. Should I just use the price I paid for declared value?
  9. With a day or two before the deadline, they showed up in my submissions! Such a relief!
  10. Thanks, that's good to know. My packages should have arrived by 6/15 so perhaps they'll show up in a day or two (while I'm biting my nails ) which would be just in time for one event
  11. Really worried that my books haven't arrived in time with cutoffs literally this week...
  12. Hi I've submitted many books for signing events but I don't see them show up in "My Submissions". Is that where they will show up or somewhere else? Thanks
  13. Hi I've created an order and packed my box but I realised at the last moment that for one of the books I had issue number #194 when it should have been #94. I crossed it out in pen and wrote the correct issue number. Is that OK or do I need to start all over again? If so is there a simpler way just to edit the order and reprint? Thanks
  14. This issue appears to be happening again (I've tried clearing cache and multiple browsers).
