  1. discuss an actual modern that's heating up

    Venom #2 second print

Agreed. I had the first print on my wall at Heroes and had NUMEROUS people ask me for the second. I've never actually seen one in person.

Tough book and BEAUTIFUL too ! Trying to get them out of other collectors hands is damn near impossible... for good reason !

    Which Venom...

  2. Every B and N store that has comics got 5 to 10 copies.

What do they do with month old books? Throw them away - expect that same attitude on any copies they can't sell because of a recall.

If there are 600 B and N stores there are at least 6000 B and N copies.

    Can we end this now?

I don't think we are really saying the B&N is the play here. Sure it is rare in comparison to the regular #51 but in most cases something is always the most in demand so the discussion is more weighted to the Direct Sales errors . Anyhoo, Superman Lois and Clark 1 or 8 or ?

    So...

    You are at a B&N

There are ten NM copies of JLA #51 error on the rack.

    You pass?!?

It doesn't have to be Walking Dead #1 to be a solid play.

I personally like twenty dollar bills.

There are 3 B and N near me, none of them got the books...

  3. This was mentioned in a thread that was locked due to boardies behaving badly. Justice League 51 was printed with the wrong cover (issue 52) and were distributed on the newstand market.

Some shops got direct editions, but orders were immediately scrubbed and the right covers were sent out instead.

However, all newstand editions were NOT scrubbed and sent to Barnes and Noble (which is the direct dealer to newstand comics).

    Thoughts? Opinions? rare????

  4. The Walking Dead books were in fact witnessed by CGC.. At the request of Robert Kirkman.

Thats why dealers and owners had up to a certain day to mail them in to CGC. AFTER said date, they weren't eligible.

So yeah, a randomly inserted book inside of a poly bag is NOT eligible.
