  1. The buyer escalated the dispute to a PayPal claim which is now being reviewed by PayPal.

Like I told the buyer before he posted here, I am more than happy to take the book back and issue a refund , as long as it is shipped and received in safe manner.

BUT he chose the claim portion without explanation , which again, is now being reviewed by the PayPal staff.

When a buyer is upset about an item you shouldn't force the sale.

The buyer shouldn't have been sent the 9.6 in the first place.

    Jimmy, please read everything back.

I didn't send him a CGC 9.6 The book was shipped directly to him from CGC. Once I learned the grade (Once they're shipped) I sent him a PM.

He then requested a refund, which I told him I would be MORE than glad to do once the book was returned in the order it was received.

Not even ten minutes, he files a paypal claim, which I was then unable to respond to because of the escalated dispute.

    doh!

Don't sell what you don't have. It's as simple as that.

In that case, then every pre-sale from shows should be banned?

And he wasn't promised a 9.8 copy. No one was.

Jimmy, please read everything back, ask before you assume.

  3. fwiw, A-Donis has been trying to keep his cool, apologize continuously, and not get into a heated back and forth, despite what looks like persistent aggressive posting towards him. Yes, I realize he has had a history of problems, and I don't have any means of judging his sincerity beyond what he says here. If I were involved in a transaction with him, though, I'd be willing to give him a shot based on his posts.

If all he needs to do is sell, ship quickly, and communicate, then give him the chance to do that. Not sure what the continued (week-long now?) castigation is meant to accomplish. I think he's gotten the message by now. Either he'll prove his words sincere, or not.

    hm

I brought it back up because I did not see a resolution and thought it was swept under the carpet during NYCC.

I will disagree. You DO have means to judge his sincerity. His actions following his pledge to improve again and again and again. He has been given a multitude of chances to do that and yet.....

So, he proved his last words insincere. We wait and see if this time he is sincere?

Ah, post count. Always comes down to post count.

Swept under the rug? Wasn't it you who told me to get my mess straight? And even suggested not to sell that often because you assumed I made good $$$ with my regular job?

Even hinted at staying on top of things more often?

Were you there when I pmed CAHokie or Barth or MoJoePin?

    What changed?

Is this the same Jeff who was so willing to help me at the show??

  4. How can I look at my 1st posts?

    Like this one ?

Awesome! That's how I met Will. Ok. How about me complaining about a Chew 1 2nd print early in my posting.

    Have at it.

I was actually looking for this

    http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3267425&nt=2740&fpart=712

It carries on until page 729. For those interested in the evolution of the PL I believe off board transactions between board members was added as a result.

I thought about whether to bring this up. The problem is it shows a definite pattern. For those that ever feel bullied by a long standing board member and are afraid to speak up i feel obligated to link this. The pattern appears to be refusing to follow through until it's public. If someone does not make it public then what happens?

If you ever believe post count has nothing to do with anything then you should have seen the thread in CG about this.

This shows a continuous pattern for more than 5 years. My concern is those who don't come forward.

The mere fact that your fishing for others is comedic at best.

Also, calling me a bully is not only arrogant on your part, but it furthers my belief that you have it out for me. You purposely seeked out a five year old issue that you and I put behind us, making be believe that we were friends. I guess that changed after NYCC. I even asked you for advice, and you turned on me.

MoJoePin has decided not to finish the transaction with me, and added that I need to conduct future business with boardies with respect, which was also mentioned by Bosco, Speedy-D and Columbia Comics.

Should I have shipped things faster? Yes.

Does it make me less responsible when I don't? Yes
