  1. Packs, ships and communicates like an All-Star seller! Thank you!!
  2. Just moved to RVA...thanks for the list!
  3. Thanks! These copies are lower in condition but I was still psyched to find them. Crazy part was the owner lived just a few blocks away
  4. Love this thread but never had a reason to contribute until now. I picked up the following bundle after responding to a local ad regarding 1st edition/1st print books, not comics, in it. While at her house she asked if I collected comics as well? Well, here's the result of me saying yes to that question...enjoy
  5. My first thought was did I find a Larsen? But seriously doubt it due to the condition. I think I see the L on lots of GA books. Perhaps a coincidence. Send it to Scottsdale instead of Sarasota Larson copies do not have an "L" on them. Detroit Trolley copies do, but as you said, so do a lot of other GA comics I had the same thought...looks just like the "L" found on DT copies. I don't recall seeing WW 1 listed on the Trolley spreadsheet (yes. I got a peek at it one day) but who knows
  6. Thanks everyone and yes, putting together a run of Sensations is no easy task...especially on a budget
  7. Awesome thread! Here is the Mrs., collection of Sensations she's put together over the years...no high grade jems but all are complete and intact (thumbs u
  8. Cool boardie who delivered the goods. Thanks!
  9. More kudos for SpideyFein! Awesome buyer right here. Thank you
  10. Picked up a couple awesome GA titles from Mike and needless to say I'm one happy customer! His communication, packing and shipping are all world class. THANK YOU!
  11. awesome. awesome. awesome. SELLER! Great book, excellent packing and fast shipping. THX!
  12. Try searching for the words comic, comics and comic books and put them in quotes - "comic", "comics" or "comic books". (thumbs u
  13. thanks guys It was pretty exciting to stumble onto a collection like this...I kept thinking if only his aunt had been a few years older he REALLY would have had something. Can't complain though and the cross-section of titles made the collection all the more fun to look through.
  14. Love reading through these discoveries so I thought it was time to step-up and contribute my own find, a GA collection from 2010... Last April I went to see an individual about 40 minutes away, who I found on CL, about making a purchase on a completely non-comic related item. Over the course of our discussion I mentioned that I collect comics as well. Upon hearing this he said, "Hey! I've got a stack of old books that my aunt left me when she passed away. I'm only the second owner - want to take a look?" I said sure, why not? We go down into his basement and yep, he's got a bunch of comics from the 1940s just laying in magazine racks, but at least bagged. I started flipping through them and of course there's the expected cartoon comics along with some other odds and ends in varying degrees of condition. I then ask him do you have any superhero books? He then told me those are his favorite so he's used them to cover the wall behind his other pop culture collectibles. So he pulls a a few off the wall, the key books, and they turn out to be in really great condition regardless of their purpose - wallpaper. I'm guessing actually putting them on the wall protected them from kids, friends, dogs, etc. unlike the magazine rack group. Long story short I made him a fair offer on the better material. It's been my one and only "find" over the years. Some of the books have made their way out into the market, locally and nationally, while I've retained others for my own collection. Enjoy (thumbs u
  15. I'm guessing this is part of the "Toon" magazine series. I still have a number of "Cartoons" in my collection. I think Surftoons was another in the series. Great stuff and yeah, the magazine guys will know more - try that thread. No OSPG on these titles I believe.
  16. awesome! sticky this sumperson_without_enough_empathy (thumbs u
