  1. Now on to the Bronze Spideys... Amazing Spider-Man #117, CGC 9.2 with WHITE pages! I thought this book had a shot at 9.4... No GPA sales since 2016 ($110), but that seemed a bit high...asking $90 $80.
  2. Next up is X-Men #39, CGC 8.5 with WHITE pages! First new costumes, and doesn't have that ugly chip at the upper left edge of the back cover that many copies have... Asking $105 $95.
  3. First up is Journey Into Mystery #109, CGC 6.5 with Off-White pages...presents nicer than a 6.5, and I'm guessing it was knocked down a grade or so for the tanning...if you're looking for a nice-presenting copy of this book, here it is! Last two GPA sales were $130 in 2017 and $220 in 2018...asking $175 $150.
  4. Hi everyone, I'm offering up five CGC-graded silver- and bronze-age Marvels: Journey Into Mystery #109, CGC 6.5 (presents nicer) X-Men #39, CGC 8.5 Amazing Spider-Man #117, CGC 9.2 Amazing Spider-Man #127, CGC 9.2 Amazing Spider-Man #136, CGC 9.4 I will charge exact shipping to ship these books insured via USPS Priority Mail, and the shipping cost will depend on the number of books you buy and your location (I'm willing to ship anywhere in the world, but I know USPS Priority Mail shipping costs are high outside of the U.S. ). I accept PayPal, checks or money orders. The first gets the book, but I will also listen to offers via PM. Returns are accepted within 14 days of the sale, and I would expect any returned books to be in the same condition as when I shipped them out. Please No probies and HOSers, and now on to the good stuff...thanks for looking! Art
  5. I know it's been a while since the contest ended, but I just wanted to thank @Ron C. again for the awesome Venom sketch cover from Frank A. Kadar! Ron helped put me in touch with Steve Hiatt of Port City Comics to get it graded signature series, and I am now the proud owner of my first signature series book! The reason for the delay in posting? UPS accidentally returned the book the first time it was shipped, and the case had a small crack in it when I finally received it (probably from all that back-and-forth traveling ). CGC reholdered the book for me free of charge, and here it is sitting in a 9.6 SS slab...
  6. That is very cool...thanks for sharing!
  7. Very sad news...RIP Mr. Wein... I met him and also got a cool Batman sketch from him back in 2008 at SDCC...I remember him saying it was the one character he could draw. We both had a laugh about that...he was very nice and easygoing.
  8. Me neither...I wonder if the blue hue at the top of the cover is just some kind of photo artifact?
  9. Wednesday morning and final price reductions before sending the remaining two books to CGC or other venues... Green Lantern #28 in 7.5 (VF-) with off-white pages - $40 Green Lantern #40 somewhere between 6.5 (Fine+) and 7.0 (FN/VF) with cream to off-white pages - $140 Thanks! Art
  10. Eric was very easy to deal with, and promptly paid for a book he bought from me. I hope to do business with him again in the future...
  11. Thanks Tom! I just PMed you to see if an old address of yours I have is still valid...
  12. I will take prize #11 (Sketch Art Cover of Venom by Frank A. Kadar) please...looks awesome!
  13. Congrats to toro and all the winners! Three of those last four books were my downfall, and one of my takeaways is that I learned quite a bit about how CGC grades books with heavy or extensive foxing/staining (ASM #129 which I undergraded, and BB #54 which I overgraded). My biggest takeaway was that this contest was a blast, and the commentary after each round was hilarious! Huge thanks to Andy and Shin for running this contest!
  14. Final grades submitted! Huge thanks to Andy and Shin for running such a fun contest...I had a blast!
  15. Just sold NoFunComics a book...great communication and incredibly fast payment!
