So, Why Has AF #15 Continued to Drop In Value?

This appears to be the same mentality that drives up the price for all movie-related comics... -
So, Why Has AF #15 Continued to Drop In Value?
silverseeker replied to KEY ISSUES Comics's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
The numbers on this site seem to support your concern...there has been a spike in cases here in the U.S. in the last few days (increase from 3,680 cases on Sunday to 6,439 cases today), but that could also be because testing is becoming more available... https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ -

Thoughts on inner page tears
silverseeker replied to Mr. Zipper's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I agree, and have seen a few books where tears line up with those production creases, usually at the centerfold. -
I totally agree, but I'm biased because I live up here. I heard a few dealers say they would consider setting up at Wondercon if it moved back to San Francisco though...

5.0 for me as well...presents nicely for the grade!

Someone asked a question about the spine on the Avengers #6, and upon much closer inspection there is one tiny spot of spine wear that has worn through the cover (it's hard to tell if this is from production or part of the "moderate spine stress" called out by CGC). Here are a few photos of this spot of wear: It's very subtle, and at first glance looks like it could be foxing...

First up is Avengers #6 - Formerly CGC VF+ 8.5 (label will be included with the book), Off-White to White pages - $675 $565 First appearance of Baron Zemo, who will be the villain in the "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" series on Disney+! I don't think this book has been pressed (there are two minor non-color-breaking items that I think would not be there if the book was pressed), but I bought it already slabbed and cracked it out. Graders notes: light finger bends center of front cover light wear left center of front cover breaks color moderate spine stress lines breaks color Item not called out in the graders notes - small tear in the margin of one page (please see the photo in the spoiler).

My guess is also that this is a 9.4 that was accidentally mislabeled .4...

The Eternals Signed by Jack Kirby
silverseeker replied to Xenosmilus's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Thanks for this info! For some reason I thought a Qualified grade would only come into play if a book was signed on the cover as opposed to on the first page (as is the case with the Jack Kirby signature on the book in question)... -
The Eternals Signed by Jack Kirby
silverseeker replied to Xenosmilus's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I think only Stan lee's signature is called out on the label as verified ("SIGNED BY STAN LEE ON 09/22/18"), while Jack Kirby's signature is just called out in a note. Would the book get a Qualified grade (green vs. blue label) if it were not submitted through the Signature Series service? I don't think it would in that case, otherwise every book with someone's signature on the first page would get a Qualified grade. -
The Eternals Signed by Jack Kirby

Is it possible that the Jack Kirby-signed book did not get a Qualified label because he signed it on the first page and not the cover? -
