as I was looking at these Romance books. my wife commented I have a Secret LIFE!! I immediately gave the book a 1.0 !  just kidding still working on grading these !

wow these are so tough for me lets see I was super harsh on that last grade not bad 13 points 

I submitted my grades early hoping to break my top 100 finish from last year .

9.0 to 9.4 more on the 9.2 side its a really nice copy 

I would say at best 8.5 at worst 7.5 because of the back cover and semi round edged on the cover

this is the first time im using this service and my books were submitted on nov 28 . currently says in process. im hoping for the best outcome . you guys are right its kinda hard to navitgage the order system if ur not a paid member. 

I remember buying newstands at 7/11 also I remember subscribing to Uncann X-men from Marvel back then and they came in newstand not direct.!!!  For the real collector you need both newstand and direct and also the Canadian variant . wow those 9.8s looks like my collection. from the mid 90s   nice books .

ok got it not 34 . I went back and realized this I counted rank #119 may I say in the world ?  Didn't break the top 100 dang. suggestions for the next contest . I think we should leave the way the contest is announced. 

I like the idea of maybe doing the round 4 open to the top 100 -

some thoughts . I was actually a Cgc charter member when cgc first started  remember the red labels? back then I think CGC graded stricter and more along the lines of overstreet guide I think because there was no other grading scale. then over the past 20yrs plus or so CGC has done its own version of the buyers guide. for example

comics buyers guide any missing pieces of a book is poor .5   -- CGC u magically get a 3   I remember being at a comic convention and a dealer told me cgc grades golden age books more lenient because there aren't that many left. and I kinda went along with this reasoning.  those red labels are being cracked opened and submitted for higher grades

hoping to see the round 3 results as I have not kept my score. hope to be in the top 100 at least . 

wing s #1 1.8    I agree 3.0 crazy spine split must be that golden age rarity 

beware #10 4.0. splitting hairs here 

atom #1 6.0. ok the back cover stain I forgave only because it s not a common book and I wasn't going. by overstreet

silver surfer #1 8.5.   my only bullseye of the tournament . I was leaning toward s 9.0 since the spine was really nice then I saw the color breaks on the other edge of the front cover. 

Incredible Hulk 4.5.  I was just going by that fact that its a key  I was nt sure if that top piece on the cover was torn off or not 😟I guess it was . that wings is way worse Than that #181 tho the pain of golden age

what s the official count for round 3 . I hope to be in the top100 and receive a particpation badge  thank you

wow I was following over street grading standards I do recall when CGC started CGC used Overstreet over the years somehow grading has changed over the years. are those red label cgc s higher grades now ?   things have certainly changed when. a book with a minor fold is considered a 9.4 in the old days this would not be a 9.4.
