  1. Look at the bidder history. What is the story there? I saw that too. Bizarre. What is the dark spot on the top right corner? Is that on the book or just a shadow in the picture? That is a nice flag cover though.
  2. Yeah, but then you'd have to be really freakin' old like me. And me... Me too. It was a good time to be reading Marvel though...
  3. Nice series of Detectives Arex! (thumbs u
  4. This is the one and only Nova #25 SS, signed by Marv Wolfman. Nova was my favorite character as a kid and I think this is the best cover in the series. Since Marv was the one who created and wrote the original Nova series, there's no one better to have signed it...though given the chance I may have to see if I can add Carmine Infantino or Keith Pollard's signature!
  5. Great points Transplant! (thumbs u I've noticed some posts that had more info than I would ever share online but never thought to post a thread like this. This is a great community and it's easy to share info so not sharing too much is a great point to remember.
  6. When is the Forum Party at the Tiki Hut? I can almost taste the Rum-infused drinks...
  7. Beautiful copy and SO much activity on the cover (guy hanging, nazi shooting, weird guy throwing an axe, Bucky with a noose around his neck, a nazi dropping a skull, Cap...Yeesh!)
  8. Dude, don't allow that female to own you, break out that pimp hand, brother Spoken like a true single person! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i'm married with two kids and my post is called, a joke, ya know, tongue meet cheek kind of thing? guess some are slow on the up take... Mine was all tongue in cheek as well. Saw your avatar and the comment and jumped to the one conclusion. The other one was that you are VERY married. Guess the "make my tone clear" button didn't work on that post...

  10. Marvel #1. When I was a kid (and a huge Marvel fan), I thought it was the ultimate comic. Now I see it's a true key issue, like Detective 27 or Action 1. Batman #1 is a notch lower on my scale, though I'd love to get a Batman #1 someday...
  11. That is SO different than any other EC cover I've ever seen. Frazetta, I assume?
  12. Those are some pretty creepy covers. Nice! (thumbs u
  13. I'm sure Fox wouldn't shut down your website or send a cease and desist order if you wanted to use Simpsons characters for anything, even an "I love the Simpsons" site. Superman should be safe too...and Batman. These days I wouldn't believe any characters are in the public domain. Even if a lawyer told you it's a safe bet then someone would want to file suit...
  14. I tend to like good Gil Kane covers too. Nice pick-up Doc! (thumbs u
  15. I got these on the latest CLink auction. The first one is WWII (but from the Golden Age) and the Wings is just barely pre-SA. My first war comics (WWII and Cold War...it was a war...sort of...) and I'm just looking for an excuse to post them. Apologies to Silver Age War Comic purists who would prefer no GA books...
  16. Awesome collection! Action 66 & 76 are 2 of my favorite covers from the GA Actions. Nice! (thumbs u
  17. Nice post Scrooge! Looks like Mr. Whelan was a fan of Bulletman since his character has a serious replica of Bulletman's helmet!
  18. Nice! I had seen that one but found too many others I just had to bid on. This Don Winslow was one I'd missed out on previously and had to get this time.
