  1. Pretty creative ad! Reminds me of the Hostess ads in the Bronze Age which I always enjoyed. Too bad modern marketing is more focused on being splashy and not creative at least with any comics I've seen for years.
  2. So interesting how we all can see things so differently since I thought he did a great job as Luke in Jessica Jones.
  3. I got this one with both Gerry Conway & Stan Lee's signatures. I love the cover & the double sig!
  4. I love this Christmas cover of Hot Stuff & it was a good deal so now I have it:
  5. I got this a couple auctions ago but am finally just posting it. I do love Archie covers but especially like getting first issues or first appearances of the generally known characters. First Archie/Betty/Veronica/Jughead are not likely for me but I'll take the first Moose!
  6. I finally got this from the last CLink auction: Also got the original cover for it, first cover art I've gotten:
  7. I got one a few years ago at a good price:
  8. Good news, as far as I'm concerned! I miss having a copy. Might pick it back up. Good thought, I might have to get one too.
  9. Yeah, so used and with writing inside. Ugh, why even keep it? It's beautiful and with the "writing" maybe being Kirby's autograph then might even be more wonderful than it looks.
  10. I like it. Not an easy one to come by, and I would love some OA from that comic. Especially the cover Awesome that over 80 years later it still looks great & can be enjoyed by new generations!
  11. I also have spoiler-y comments with some different thoughts:
  12. I'm on episode 11 & I've been liking it. I do think the private investigator stereotype is way overdone (angry, loner, drunk) in the show. I don't really know anything about the JJ character from the comics so I don't know how that affects viewing but I've been enjoying most of it so far. Some "twists" seem heavily foreshadowed but love the Nuke references & I think Luke is portrayed very well.
  13. Yeah, I loved the first season & it seems like it's been forever. Glad to know it's finally coming back!
  14. I love many of those Atlas mystery covers. I haven't seen this before but it's as fun as many of them.
  15. "The Escape" by David Baldacci - 3rd book in the John Puller series
  16. Very cool group! I have a copy of #35 (2nd row on the left with Huey, Dewey & Louie in the fridge) & I just love the cover. The refrigerator brand is "Phreezo" & for whatever reason that just cracks me up every time I see it. The happy looks on the nephews' faces & typical angry Donald are great too. I cringe at the idea of children sleeping in a frig but I don't blame Barks. He didn't do any of the covers until much later I think.
  17. I get some here & there, it's always a totally nostalgic experience and I thoroughly enjoy it.
  18. Yeah, never saw that one, just the other more common propaganda books. Nice!
  19. Flash 229 is the earliest one I remember reading
  20. Very cool! I love that first Mysterious story and this is one of the many I'd like to add to my group one day
